INTRODUCTION:
In this assignment we are going to discuss about Leadership Motivation and Performance and how it impacts on Organization success.
The main objective of this research is to analyze how well leadership and motivation can enhance employee performance and to know the factors which actually trigger high performance at Abbey group, and also to understand different ways in which this group motivates its workers.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
ABBEY Group was established in 1978, is an award winning destination management company with offices located in Dublin, London & Edinburgh. This group provides full range of travel services to group and individuals in Ireland and United Kingdom.
Objective of the company is to offer quality service and reliable partnership to their clients, where they have experienced staff to assist you with your planning.

Mission of the company:
” To work in partnership with our clients, our staff, our suppliers all of whom are the core stakeholders of Abbey Group”.
They ensure to work in a positive working environment which satisfy the needs of each of these three stakeholders.
Purpose of the company :
Make Abbey A great place to work, where people are supported and motivated to be the best they can be.

LEADERSHIP
Leadership is a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards the achievement of a goal.

- Creating and articulating a clear vision.
- Motivates and inspires people to engage with that vision.
- Establishing goals and providing followers with knowledge necessary to achieve goals.
- Coaches and builds a team, which is more effective at achieving.

Leadership Importance:
Leadership is an important factor in making an organization successful, leadership is an art of influencing people to perform the tasks assigned effectively, willingly and competently.
Communication is effective and open when an organization is in the hands of good leadership where people feel they are part of the organization and give their best for the success.
Culture within the organization is not forced but developed.

Leadership Factors:
1) Initiates actions : A leader begins the work by imparting the strategies and plans to the subordinates from where the work begins.
2) Providing Guidance : Provides a direction to workers in such a manner where they need to participate work adequately and proficiently.
3) Creating Confidence : Challenges are constant, but confidence is not.
Confidence is an attribute where a leader can possess in the minds of people.
4) Co-ordination : Co-ordination can be achieved through integrating individual interests with organization goals and effective coordination should be a primary motive.
5) Work Environment : A well-organized work environment helps in stable growth of a organization.
6) Building Morale : A leader can be a morale booster where he gets his employees to perform with best of their abilities.

Even in the most confused times, there are four roles that leaders play which are highly analytical for success.
Inspire Trust : Trust starts with a leader’s own character and capability.
Be the credible leader where others choose to follow.
Create vision: Leaders create a vision and strategy, and communicate it so powerfully that others join them on the journey.
Execute Strategy : Achieving results consistently with and through others following a well-organized process.
Coach potential : Unleash the standards of every person in the group to enhance performance, resolve problems and make careers.

People often mistake leadership and management as same thing but in reality they are completely different such as,
Leaders have people that follow them, it’s all about inspiring.
Managers have people who simply work for them, it’s all about planning.

- Leader asks about what and why? Whereas manger asks about how and when.?

Reward System : Incentives are great way to promote motivation, incentives can be bonus, paid time-off, travel perks or vouchers.
By this you can find more adaptability and creativity in employees.
Recognition : Recognizing the efforts of employee and making sure they are doing a great job and congratulating them.
Career Advancement : Ensuring the opportunities for your employees to advance in their position, finds optimistic and challenging attitude at workplace.
Happiness : If employees are happy in their job they are much more motivated in doing best job they can.

Performance is a set of activities which ensure that goals are consistently being met in an effective and efficient manner.
Performance management can focus on the performance of an organization, a Department, or an Employee.

- Recruit potential employees and select most qualified to participate.
- Select people who can best fit in the culture of organization.
- Provide ongoing education and training as needed.
- Conducting performance development planning discussions quarterly.
- Promotions and career development options to employees.
- Employee orientation and assigning a mentor.

One feels Vision is the most important where as the other feels Core values are important for success in their organization. They follow same Democratic leadership style as they involve members of the group in decision making. Abbey group greatest ideas are generated from Owners of the company, senior management or leadership team, also from the staff.
In regards, to the qualities of leaders to possess they have completely different opinions as one says leader should have an ability to inspire people through motivation, create positiveness in the minds of workers, should be fair. Whereas the other feel leader should have Empathy, Courage, Kindness towards workforce, Strong work ethic.

Personally motivation at work with staff is done by communicating effectively, clarifying the objectives of what we are looking to achieve this year, Fosters inclusivity irrespective of nationality, gender, social class, age. By motivating staff they have an impact of displaying strong work ethic, Creating boost (or) good spirit among the teams, better understanding among colleagues.
