Theatre is a branch of performing arts. It is one of the significant and oldest forms of culture worldwide. According to theories the, in western civilization the theatre originated in the Greek drama. Theatre draws its origins from the religious ritual and it also stages mythical stories and narratives. Theatre originated its word from the word “theatron”, a place for drama performance. In ancient Greece, the place of drama performance is set on auditorium or stage. It also represents colonialism and reflects the political, social issues of society; politics of power. Prospero symbolizes a political leader who wants to regain his power from the enemy. Set on the Mediterranean Sea, a mythical island. Distinct from some other's Shakespeare passionate narrative, the Tempest is fairly focused on the narrative of love narrative, murder scenes, and Prospero's act of vengeance.

The tale is a mix of elements of misfortune (retaliation of Prospero) with romantic comedy (the love of Miranda and Prospero with each other).
