Seasonal effective disorder was basically defined in 1984 ‘recurrent depression that occurs annually at the same time each year’. SAD is also known as winter depression. Proper health education should be given to international students through seminars and conference organized on school level so that prevalence rate of sad should decreased.

Some causes of sad are disrupted body clock, low serotonin level, high melatonin level, other possible triggers. These kinds of disorder occur mostly in winters rather than summers.
