We are going to take Burger King into the discussion as it is the competitor of McDonald in the fast food industry. Burger King is another successful and leading fast food industry in the world which is the biggest threat to McDonald.

From our research, we found that McDonald’s have their strength and weaknesses. Since McDonald’s is the most well know fast food chain in the world, brand recognition is their biggest strength. Their marketing campaign continues to focus on brand recognition by promoting their name. McDonald’s phenomenal growth is mainly attributed to the creation of its strong brand identity. McDonald’s products such as chicken nuggets and Big Mac are recognized all over the world; its trademark, “the Golden Arches”, and its brand name have become amongst the most instantly recognized symbol in the world. Ronald McDonald who is the figure of McDonald is famous character among the children. The reason why most of the families patronize to McDonald is because influenced by their children. However Burger King’s figure is not famous like Ronald McDonald. Moreover, Burger King and McDonald regard burger as their main product, but the sale volume of McDonald is higher than Burger King because McDonald’s brand identity is famous than Burger King.

Although Burger King’s foods are more expensive if compare with Burger King’s, but the Burger King’s foods are full amount. It can be proving by the ingredient and size of their burgers. The size of Burger King’s burgers are bigger then McDonald because Burger King using sufficient material and stuff in their producing procedure.
