A passionate love, two adorable lives constitute a moving story. A real ships sinking took thousands of lives. In the cruel story, we could not help to exclaim the indifference of nature, and the fragile of life. The director of this film James Cameron does not put the focus of shooting on the cruel story, but on the great of love1 and life2.
Key words: Titanic，love, life ,
When I was a child, the movie Titanic3 released. I do not know what love is, when I saw this film, I do not know what I should say while tears covering my face. After many years, I grow up, when I saw this famous film again, I have many new feelings. 13 years ago, the sky resonant with the sound of Scottish bagpipe, the voice of Celine Dion 4 at the end of the film surge everyone's heart. Titanic, not only because it is a successful commercial film and, more importantly, it brought about a wave of nostalgia the end of the century. The Titanic sank in the early 20th century, this film show us a true story happened in the ship. The love only maintains 5days, but it worth our respect. It told us a truth: we must cherish life.
Titanic, the ship of dream. It's also famous with unsinkable, and it was unsinkable on its departure on April 10th, 1912. And on this dream journey a poor man named Jack Dawson and a rich and beautiful girl named Rose DeWitt Bukator loved each other, Rose appreciates Jack's paintings. Rose leaves her fiancée Caledon Hockley to be with Jack to pursue her dreaming life witch filled with dreaming and freedom, but when the Titanic collides with the Iceberg on April 14th, 1912, and then the ship sinks on April 15th, 1912 at 2:20 in the morning. In the shout time, the two build great love, but at last Jack dies and Rose survives and 84 years later Rose tells the great story about her life on Titanic to her grand daughter and friends on the Keldysh. When Rose gets saved by a lifeboat that comes back, they take her to the Carpathia with the 6 saved with Rose and the 700 people saved in the lifeboats. The Carpathia Immigration Officer asks Rose what her name is. Surprising that she says her name is not Rose DeWitt Bukator, but Rose Dawson. She seen Cal looking for her, but he doesn't see her. She decides to live on her own and to pursue freedom. She leaves her mom, Cal, and friends of the family have no information about and to think that she died on the Titanic. The director builds an idea end. Even Cal left the ship to be avoided died, but he didn't get a good ends. In the crash of 1929, Cal is married, but then he put a pistol in his mouth and committed suicide. Rose is an actress in the 20's, and now 84 years later Rose Calvert is 100 years old and tells her grand daughter Lizzy Calvert, Brock Lovett, Lewis Bodine, Bobby Buell, and Anatoly Mikailavich the whole story from departure until the death of Titanic on its first and last voyage, and then to Rose all Titanic and the real love of her life Jack Dawson always live in her heart, and Titanic is to rest in peace at the bottom of the North Atlantic from 1912 until the end of time.
For the leading romantic roles of Jack and Rose, Cameron has chosen two of today's finest young actors. Leonardo DiCaprio, who has rarely done better work, has shed his cocky image. Instead, he's likable and energetic in this part -- two characteristics vital to establishing Jack as a hero. Meanwhile, Kate Winslet, dons a flawless American accent along with her 1912 garb, and essays an appealing, vulnerable Rose.
With the character Jack, a third class passenger you are exposed to how large the gab between the rich and poor was. How first class dogs went down to be walked on the lower decks, how it was the poor who actually built Titanic and how it was the poor who were treated truly unfair on Titanic just because of social status, which helped express the mentality of the time.
With the character Rose, a first class passenger you are exposed to the arrogance high society had. Rose also opened your eyes to the luxuries high society had and how woman were truly trapped and were seen as second-class citizens. Rose almost committing suicide helps hit home how truly horrible it must have been for woman during this time period. The dynamics between Rose and her mother also show the dynamics between how woman had to behave and in a sense how they survived in this society.
As for the director, in each of his previous outings, Cameron has pushed the special effects envelope. In Titanic, Cameron's flawless re-creation of the legendary ship has blurred the line between reality and illusion to such a degree that we can't be sure what's real and what isn't. To make this movie, it's as if Cameron built an all-new Titanic, let it sail, then sunk it.
Having completed the story, the elderly Rose goes alone to the stern of Lovett's ship. There, she pulls out the Heart of the Ocean, revealing that she had it all along, and drops it into the water. As she sleeps in her bed, around her are pictures of her doing everything she said she would do with Jack throughout her life. The final shot of the film is of young Rose being reunited with Jack at the Grand Staircase of the Titanic, surrounded and applauded by those who perished on the ship; it is deliberately unclear if this is a conscious dream, or if Rose has died in her sleep.
Eighty-four years, this is a very long time. A sentence said by Rose "I promise" and the love of them made Rose live and become strong. In my mind, live without Jack maybe more difficult than die. Rose living strong, because Jack always lives in her heart, and encourage her to live in what she wants. Jack uses his own death instead of Rose life, and Rose uses her happy life to pay back, she complied with her promise. Jack and Rose, we can never forget them. Let us pay a tribute to their love, pay a tribute to their life.
An emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. In Titanic, the love between them is Selfless and as a power to encourage Rose to live.
The ability to breathe, grow, reproduce. After Jack death, Rose use live in a strong and interesting life to pay back.
The great ship, Titanic, sailed for New York from Southampton on April 10th, 1912. She was carrying 1,316 passengers and crew of 891. Even by modern standards, the 46,000 ton Titanic was a colossal ship. At the time, however, she was not only the largest ship that had ever been built, but was regarded as unsinkable, for she had sixteen watertight compartments. Even if two of these were flooded, she would still be able to float. The tragic sinking of this great liner will always be remembered, for she went down on her first voyage with heavy loss of life.
A famous singer of the Titanic theme song" My Heart Will Go On". The lyric of the song express the theme of the film. Even Jack was died, but he will live in Rose's heart forever.
