Your diet in simple terms what you eat and how you eat. There are two main controlled aspects to your diet: what foods you and your common lifestyle. To help lose weight or maintain a healthy bmi weight, you have to keep an eye on both factors. If you consume all the correct foods but they are in extremely large amounts, your body will indigested loads of calories and one way or another you will gain weight. The main aspect of a diet is to be careful and intake only a certain amount of calories, a calorie is basically how much energy is produced by the product. In fact it can be measured as joules in one calorie there is 4.2 joules of energy, which is not ample to keep the body running on average in a day we at least take in is 2500 calories that is a massive 1050 joules (2500X4.2).This amount just shows how much energy we need to keep going in a day.

Food types

This acid crushes down all the nutrients amongst the food to the fact of which it can be sucked in by the blood and moved through the blood stream.

The last and final parts of the digestive system consist of large intestine, colon, the anus, and also urinary tract; this is where our body separates the liquids from the solids and sends them to their very own specified exit. After doing some research on diets I came across an article written by WLR Dietitian, Juliette Kellow she describes her review of the well known diet the Atkins diet. This diet is mainly consists of just eating foods with high proteins and then rising and lowering that common variable factor along a continuous amount of weeks. She found in this study that "the diet does help you to lose calories more easily although she goes on to say that the diet leaves you craving for more food" Juliette Kellow. This shows that all you do in a diet is starving yourself from those foods that you enjoy the most. Although diets do help us to lose calories don't we do this process in an everyday life? I came across a study written by Traci Mann, UCLA associate professor of psychology she believes in the long term there is no way to sustain the change she goes on to say "that we as humans can only successfully loose a variable from 5-10 percent of our weight" Traci Mann. Her and her colleagues have also tested numerous diets none of which were successful in the long term. Traci believes that the only real way that we can really control our weight is eating in moderation and not starving our bodies and a healthy life style. Most people today would surely believe that diets do work as we sometimes see great results I have come across an article theory from the sun paper. Where researchers from the University of California agree on the basis that 33% of people do manage to get rid of allot of weight within the first few months. On the other hand I am concerned about the depth of the article as it doesn't show in any way how the achieved this data. I am sure that you will agree with me that without any common scientific data to support this theory it is very unbelievable and is not very trust worthy by its self standing on one leg. The article goes on to say that it works by eating foods which contain high protein and mainly avoid foods with many sugars and fatty foods- chips controversially we do need some source of fatty foods. Incredibly some people suggest that diet is only controlled by one factor but now we know this is just a misconception. Source 11

After taking into consideration all of the information above I now have to decide whether or not diets are really effective or is it a moral myth. Well I have learnt that diets in actual facts do work but are they really consistent. The main problem with dieting which many of these researches have encountered is within a long term diets are not effective, as you can see above the common things with nearly all of the articles is that they all show within in a variable time we would put the same amount of weight back on to our bodies and this is one of the main problems and no matter what the reality remains as this. So in conclusion I claim that diets do not work I trust you are convinced and believe me that they are not affective in the long term situation so the answer to this quest Are Diets really affective?
