When i was in my school in 8th class , i had a group of 7-8 guys , we all were very naughty ,one day at the time a day before diwali vacation , few of my group mates planned to put a crackle near principle cabin , they did so as well but students from our junior batch had seen them and given complain for the same. Principle came to our class and told 8 guys to came out of the class in which i was also included , i was surprised that i dint even did anything but just because i was the part of the group i have been punished hard , among all guys i was poor in studies , so principle has humiliated me more over studies and punished me extra stating that even i was also involved in the case , i kept on saying that i dint did anything but nobody took my words, this incident demotivated me very much , but this demotivation turned up into my motivational factor when my father one day asked me about my changed behaviour , followed by that he explained me that rather than getting low , i should learn from the incident and take into consideration that studies is so important and good friend circle is also very important , we should not spoil out present by thinking about past, instead of that do good things to improve your future..my dad's words and explanation motivated me , and i henceforth started being in a good group from where i can learn something in life.

Motivation is the inner power or energy that pushes toward acting, performing actions and achieving. Motivation has much to do with desire and ambition, and if they are absent, motivation is absent too.Often, a person has the desire and ambition to get something done or achieve a certain goal, but lacks the push, the initiative and the willingness to take action. When there is lack of motivation you either get no results, or only mediocre results, whereas when there is motivation you attain greater and better results and achievements. Compare a student who lacks motivation and who hardly studies, to a student who is highly motivated, and who devotes many hours to his studies; they will get absolutely different grades.

Lack of motivation shows lack of enthusiasm, zest and ambition, whereas the possession of motivation is a sign of strong desire, energy and enthusiasm, and the willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve what one sets out to do. A motivated person is a happier person, more energetic, and sees the positive end result in his/her mind.

What can you do to enhance your motivation and awaken the power that will push you toward accomplishing your dreams, small and big? Here are a few suggestions:

Set a goal. If you have a major goal, it would be a good idea if you split it into several minor goals, each small goal leading to your major goal. In this way, you will find it easier to motivate yourself, as you will not feel overwhelmed by the size of your goal and the things you have to do, and the goal would seem more feasible and easier to accomplish.

Personality of a person is very important, as this is exactly what we think what we want , we made it in a way and express in front of others. When i joined my college for the first time ii was carrying a very shy personality, i was not so much extrovert not even used to clear my doubts in class, thinking that what others will think about me that i don't know such silly questions as well. I was studying hard but was unable to coordinate with the crowd of the college because of my personality. I dint even used to participate in other extra college activities .Due to all this i had very few friends to talk in class and so on i was very quit as well. One day our college had organised a seminar conducted by a business man, who wanted to enlighten our path for better future. I also went there and attended the session, which was amazing hours, i have ever spent in my life; it was totally turning point for me. That person was having amazing persona, his each and ecry words were heavy, the whole personality was so influential, he explained us the importance of personality , as this is the trait on which people judge us if we won't be able to maintain a good ambitious and extrovert confident personality , which should have a weight to influence the crowd its of no use. I decided henceforth that i will participate in all extracurricular activities of the college to enhance my personality skills and will maintain the spark throughout the life.

While there are many different theories of personality, the first step is to understand exactly what is meant by the term personality. A brief definition would be that personality is made up of the characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that make a person unique. In addition to this, personality arises from within the individual and remains fairly consistent throughout life.Some of the fundamental characteristics of personality include:

Consistency - There is generally a recognizable order and regularity to behaviors. Essentially, people act in the same ways or similar ways in a variety of situations.

Psychological and physiological - Personality is a psychological construct, but research suggests that it is also influenced by biological processes and needs.

It impacts behaviors and actions - Personality does not just influence how we move and respond in our environment; it also causes us to act in certain ways.

Multiple expressions - Personality is displayed in more than just behavior. It can also be seen in our thoughts, feelings, close relationships and other social interactions.

Positive attitude towards every aspect is very important , this i understood when my friend who works in a IT company shared his experience of how attitude is important in our life and how it has a strong influence over us. He has joined the company as a fresher but was very enthusiastic and ambitious , hence whatever work imparted by his superiors he used to do it successfully, he was very happy with the work he was doing and even the superiors were also satisfied. After 6 months one person has joined a company with same designation as a team member of my friend , new person was fresher, but always tried to learn from my friend , and then used to complete the given work. My friend's attitude started changing for the new person, he started speaking less to him , whatever work he used to do , my friend pointed out the mistakes and flaws to demotivate him , not even he was clearing any doubts of that new employee. This attitude made that employee very depressing and demotivating but it was enjoyed by my friend as he was thinking he is the only person who can learn fast and perform best in the company without any body's help, this kind of rude and negative behaviour mould him into different segment , in overconfidence he started leaving work half thinking that i can complete it at last moment , this happens over a month , his boss noticed that and tried to explain him but it was all into vain , because of his careless attitude , he missed a important assignment which was very important for the company, at the time of presenting he was having half figures and data , which led him and his whole department down. This time hi boss called him and asked him to resign, this was the shock for my friend and the other shock was when he heard that the presentation which he unable to present, was again presented by that new employees in front of board of directors. My freeing got a back and he realised his blunder mistake and attitude which was of no use.

Source Characteristics: The major source characteristics are expertise, trustworthiness and interpersonal attraction or attractiveness. The credibility of a perceived message has been found to be a key variable here; if one reads a report about health and believes it came from a professional medical journal, one may be more easily persuaded than if one believes it is from a popular newspaper. Some psychologists have debated whether this is a long-lasting effect and found the effect of telling people that a message came from a credible source disappeared after several weeks . When people are not motivated to process the message, simply the number of arguments presented in a persuasive message will influence attitude change, such that a greater number of arguments will produce greater attitude change

Cognitive Routes: A message can appeal to an individual's cognitive evaluation to help change an attitude. In the central route to persuasion the individual is presented with the data and motivated to evaluate the data and arrive at an attitude changing conclusion. In the peripheral route to attitude change, the individual is encouraged to not look at the content but at the source. This is commonly seen in modern advertisements that feature celebrities. In some cases, physician, doctors or experts are used. In other cases film stars are used for their attractiveness.
