The telephone privacy protection seems to be a very interested topic to many people, this title includes many meanings of protection, and it can be used in home to block calls from children and curious or offices in small or big organizations and in any work space that share same telephone line.

The idea of the project is to build an electronic circuit can do the function of call blocking from other users if the first user pick up the telephone line, this is the main idea of the project.

1.3 Project objectives

The project will consider the advantages of telephone privacy protection that will be suitable for home or official telephone line which has many telephones with the same phone number. Whenever 1 set of telephone is used or firstly picked up, the circuit will automatically cutting other lines off and circuit will be used till the connected line free.

The objectives for implementing telephone privacy protection are the following:

* More privacy telephone network

* More productive at work

This chapter contains a general introduction to my project. I gave a brief description about my project, the main goal of telephone privacy protection.

CHAPTER TWO

Telephone

2.1. Introduction

In this chapter, a brief introduction to Telephone will be presented. The telephone is a communication device used between two people or more in different locations anywhere in the world now. What is telephone, telephone history and how is work will be described briefly.

Previously, telephone used everywhere in home, offices and now telephone become in hands to make life easier; we cannot stop talking on phone, so mostofficesprovidephonesto their employees forwork donewellandquickly,but theseofficesdo not providea separatephone linefor eachemployee, but they make share on telephone line for two or more users.

2.2. What is telephone?

Phone or Telephone machine or device used to transfer audio in real time between two places connected to a telephone line from the operator, and no telephone to each party, differ over who first invented Lobby some to Graham Bell, but tends to be the Italian Antonio Meucci had invented in 1848.

U.S. Congress officially recognized in the year 2002 that Meucci was the real inventor of the telephone and that after 133 years of his death in 1889.

Phone device to send and receive connector wires with divided main road linking between the number of participants side with electronic circuits installed in the dividers President of feed constant stream amount of -48 volts generate these circles is known as telephone lines that are programmed numbers distinguish the participants from each other and enable them to communicate with each other throughgeneration of dial tone heard by each participant when lifting the handset.

2.3. History of telephone

In 1875 appeared Professor of Audiology, Alexander Graham Bell is busy more than ever inside the workshop mechanics loud where he went assistant, Thomas Watson, who was in an adjacent room within the same workshop to examine the reasons for holidays in The machines which relate to an electrical cord, and when attracting and Watson, bronchus of the jaw caused voice heard Professorthe young man from the other machine in the next room.

This was a voice for others just a faint voice no more than silence itself something, but for Alexander, but was stronger than the sound of thunder, that dream turned into reality, have been able to carry sound waves and transfer across the wire and then re-converted into sound waves at the end of the other party, has been a bit unreasonable, incredible, and you have not done no electricity or wiring before. Figure 2.1: hand-cranked telephone

On the morning of the day of the month of March 1876 was even being tested on a new future, while he sat Watson usual in the next room waiting for the message, and suddenly poured «but» some acid on his clothes from a battery extended to his hand, causing him to yell, saying: «Come here O Mr. Watson, I want you », and Watson rushed into the room shouting: «I have heard every word uttered by you Mr. Bell, and clearly!!». That was the real beginning of the new date.

In October of the same year made it and Watson's first call long-range two-way, where they talked between Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, over a distance of three kilometers, and in 1892 Contact Graham Bell in Chicago from New York to explain to business how it works the phone. Did not use the phone the first keyboards, and every two relate to a pair of iron wires, and a person related to the other party to pay the handle is installed on the phone, where it leads to move the hammer to make a sound ways of moving through the phone line to the other phone, and with the increase in mobile was all new phone connects to the rest of the cell, where he was connected fiftieth phone only requires more than a thousand connections, and the phone wall (Wall Phone) is the first phone had been invented and consists of a base holder for the headset the future and a column for the connection operator service until the transfer of call for anyone who wants, and was not There is a service of direct contact through a request to a particular number.

Turning the idea of the phone from America to Europe in a short time was the opening of the first telephone companies in the United Kingdom, a telephone company limited in 1879, and the number of participants, ten, and by the nineties of the nineteenth century, the number of phones in the UK forty-five thousand telephones controlledby companies or the post office or local government authorities.

In 1880 was opened in Ireland, the first center exchange telephone in the city of Dublin and the number of participants at the time the opening five, and started the first telephone services in Australia in 1878 and opened the first center exchange telephone in New Zealand in both Auckland and Christchurch in 1881, and in the same year began the first servicea telephone in her work in Calcutta, India, South Africa opened the first telephone exchange center in 1882 in Port Elizabeth.

2.4. How telephone work

Components of the simple Telephone:

You may wonder why the components of a telephone are one of the simplest devices in the home; the phone in its simplest form consists of the following three parts:

Key Electric Switch connect the phone works on the external network when a call or disconnect it, which is sometimes known as the exchange and found to be in touch soon to pick up the phone.

* Speaker Key:

Works to connect the external telephone network when a call or disconnect it, which is sometimes known as the exchange and found to be in touch soon to pick up the phone.

* Microphone:

Which is part of the speaker, who speaks of it was in the hardware phone old simple installation of granular carbon, compressed between two sheets metal passes through which electrical current when you talk occurs sound waves compress and included in the granules of carbon, changing the value of the resistance to the passage ofthe current and thus change the intensity of the power output up and down Depending on the acoustic wave.

These are the components and parts of the phone andyou can use such a phone if it has reached the network, but a way to dial the number is different from what is now, where you had to pick up the phone and then press the key Siding four times to learn the phone company that the required number is four, and so is plugged into the phone the owner of this Number.

2.5. Conclusion

Telephone discovered by Alexander Graham Bell in 1875, and it is device used to transfer audio in real time between two places. In this chapter a full details about telephone is given and how the telephone works.

CHAPTER THREE

Circuit Design

3.1 Introduction

Telephone privacy protection needs hardware components to build the circuit. This chapter will explain each hardware components spritely and will be shown illustrations of these components.

3.2 Hardware Components

3.2.1 LED

LED is shortcut for Light emitting diode is just tiny light bulbs that fit easily into an electrical circuit as light source which emits light when an electric current passes through it. It does several jobs and it can be found in many devices. LED is available in different colures.

The figures below show LED colors:

3.2.2 Diode

The Diode is consists electronic component with two electrodes called the anode and the cathode. Diodes made of semiconductor materials such as silicon, germanium, or selenium. And some of diodes are consists of metal electrodes in a chamber evacuated or filled with a pure elemental gas at low pressure. Voltage regulators, Rectifiers, oscillators, signal limiters, switches, signal mixers, signal modulators, and signal demodulators, this is diodes uses.

3.2.3 Resistor

Resistor is the property of the reluctance of Mosul for the passage of electric current, which results in a rise in temperature. And measured the electrical resistance in ohms and symbolized by the letter and reads Ω Omega.

Although the electrical resistance caused part of the waste of energy but they are necessary to protect some parts of the circuit, so they are made to be placed in some parts of the circuit to protect it, is important in that it controls the intensity of current passing. And also controls the voltage between the ends.

And can be likened to the electrical resistance in its work, where the water valve does not allow the passage of only a certain amount of electricity. Resistors and some damage (melt) if passed by the stream is greater than a certain amount, and the resistors are characterized by some as a cut off power automatically when you exceed a certain amount of protection.

The figures below show resistors with different values and the voltage resistor:

3.2.4 Transistors

A Transistor is a semiconductorwhich is a fundamental component in almost all electronic devices. Transistors are often said to be the most significant invention of the 20th Century. Transistors have many uses including switching, voltage/current regulation, and amplification - all of which are useful in renewable energy applications.

A transistor controls a large electrical output signal with changes to a small input signal. This is analogous to the small amount of effort required to open a tap (faucet) to release a large flow of water. Since a large amount of current can be controlled by a small amount of current, a transistor acts as an amplifier.

A transistor acts as a switch which can open and close many times per second.

3.2.5 Rj-11

RJ is a shortcut for registered jack. Is a standardized physical network interface for connecting telecommunications or data equipment to a service provided by a local exchange carrier or long distance carrier? The standard designs for these connectors and their wiring are named RJ11, RJ14, RJ21, RJ48, etc. Many of these interface standards are commonly used in North America, though some interfaces are used world-wide.
