Role of Simulation:

Simulation is the process of designing a prototype of a real system with which experiments can be conducted in order to understand the behaviour of the real system and also for evaluating various strategies for the system. Simulation has always been a cost-effective tool for engineers and managers since it assists them in taking quicker and reliable decisions. There are 3 different types of simulation (namely continuous, discrete-event and hybrid) and selection is done based on the manner of the real system.
