Skills required for effective management
The task of leadership is diverse and complex. And I need the skills to perform the functions and activities associated with being a manager. I found that managers have to be three basic skills. These are technical skills, human skills and conceptual skills. Technical skills include knowledge and experience in a specialized field such as engineering, information technology, accounting and financial management, or production. These skills are more important at lower levels of management, because managers are in direct contact with employees who work in the organization. Human skills include the ability to work with others, both individually and in groups. Finally, conceptual skills are skills that should have the abstract thinking and conceptualization of the situation and complicated subject. Using these skills, I need to be able to see the organization as a whole, understanding relationships between the various sub-units and visualize how the organization fits into the wider environment. These skills are more important to manage at a high level.Â
Professional association for managers, practitioners, the American Management Association, described the important skills of managers are conceptual, communication, efficiency and relational aspects. They are briefly described below:Â
Ability to use information to solve business problems, identifying opportunities for innovation, recognizing problems and implementing solutions, the choice of critical information from vast amounts of data, understanding of the business uses technology to understand the business model of the organization.Â
Ability to turn ideas into words and actions, credibility among peers, colleagues and subordinates, listening and asking questions, presentation skills and conference format, presentation skills, written and graphic.Â
Contribute to the mission / departmental objectives, customer orientation, multitasking, working in several roles, negotiation skills, project management, to review the operation and implementation of improvements, the establishment and maintenance of standards of internal and external efficiency, time management prioritization attention and business.Â
Coaching and mentoring skills, diversity, cooperation and commitment, working with different people and cultures, organization's network, networking outside the organization, teamwork.Â
In today's challenging and dynamic work, I'm updating my skills and undertake additional work outside their own particular job. There is no doubt that the skills remain an important way to describe what their manager.Â
With these abilities i can achieve my acting goals and objectives, but can only be achieved if I used my skills. Before we dive into how to move to designated SMART objectives, it is important to understand that there is a vast difference between the goals.Â
 Goals relate to our aspirations, goals and visions. For example, I have a goal of becoming a project manager.Â
 Objectives are the battle plan, step towards achieving my goal.Â
The target can be one or more goals to complete in order to achieve the goal. For example, getting the project manager will need:Â
1) Be part of my teamÂ
2) Become a leaderÂ
3) Work as a project manager.
The best known method of setting goals is the way SMART. SMART approach is well known among managers, but it is not practiced. SMART refers to a hash, which describes the main features of the important goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound. See these features in more detail.Â
The purpose of SMART step towards achieving my goals......Â
Specific means that the target is a concrete, detailed, precise and well defined. Its aim is simple, says the action and the desired result. Objectives need to communicate what you want to happen. To help with specific goals, it helps to ask the following questions:Â
The most important thing in life is to become a fund manager or a strategic project, because I'm studying business at your own convenience to discuss what I have to work in an organization where I can show my skills hard work.Â
"A successful man is the average man, focused."Â - Unknown
Goals must be achievable, if the goal is too far into the future, it will be difficult to maintain motivation and commitment to this level. Objectives, unlike your aspirations and visions should be possible to self motivation.Â
Goals that are achievable, may not be realistic..... However, this does not mean it's real easy. Realistic means that you have means to get there. Achieving the objective requires resources, such as skills, money, equipment, etc., in order to support the tasks required to achieve this goal. Most of the targets are achievable, but may require a change in their priorities for their implementation.Â
If the goal is measurable, it means that the measurement source is identified and we are able to track the results of our actions and progress in achieving the goal. The measure is the standard used for comparison. For example, what strategic means to me may be quite different from what it means to you. As is often quoted, if you cannot measure it, you cannot manage! Especially, the measure to help us know when we have achieved our goal.Â
Time-bound means setting deadlines for the achievement of the objective. Times to create a sense of urgency at all important. If I have not set a deadline, I can reduce the motivation and urgency required to complete the task. Delays create the necessary urgency and prompts action.Â
"There is a difference between interest and commitment. If you're interested in doing something, do it only when circumstances permit. When you're involved in something, it does not accept any excuses, just results" -. Unknown
Ways to improve professional skills and personalÂ
There are various ways to improve my skills, if the management skills and interpersonal communication skills and time, if I have very poor communication skills and cannot get a word in diameter, or my place of work or even in my relationships, I have to remember that there is a need, respect for people who communicate effectively. Find and watch the people around me who talks easily and efficiently. That should give me an insight and understanding, which should open up new opportunities for effective communication.Â
To achieve these skills, I have control over me because I do not always have the right, understand others, because it is the main skills that are required when someone does not want to listen to when an employee has problems with everyone else then listen calmly and clearly. Your skills should all be monitoring the time and the only way I can improve my skills, to allow time for each game, it's hard to find yourself. I can best described in attending seminars, conferences and consultations with the profiles of the top 100 people.Â

task # 2
Another solution is to just sit back and make a list of what you know you're good. This comes easier to some than others.
In all this, I would ask directly with my friends and colleagues what they thought of my main skills and strengths, give them some time to reflect and ask them to highlight what they think my top 3 or 4 skills. When I go to check my personal skills, just look at the checklist of personal skills.

Defining Learning Style
daddy says the world is
a drum tight and hard
and i told him
i'm gonna beat
out my own rhythm.
A study commissioned by the British Association of Audiovisual in 1988 suggests that we remember 10% of what we read, 20% of what we hear, 30% of what we see, 50% of what we see and hear, 80% of what we say and 90 % of what we say and do together. For this reason, Fisher (2000) recommended that the integration of work and study, so that i learn through my work with real problems. Then, the time and effort I invest in professional development is immediately rewarded by helping me complete the task. Fisher believes in the immediate usefulness of learning greatly increases our motivation to learn.Â
While this may be true in general for groups of people, as individuals, we each have their own preferred style of learning.Â
There are several ways of classification of learning styles, but I put these three categories:Â
Those who learn through their eyes and what to see and read. teaching methods and techniques in the ideal case, we believe, magazines and books and learning.Â
Those who learn best by hearing, or on tape or in the discussion. Dialogue and discussion is important for their learning process. The ideal is the learning environment in the classroom, but discussions with colleagues and audio tapes may also be useful.Â
Kinesthetic / tactile
Those who learn best by "doing", as in your own notes or participating in demonstrations and tactical projects. Ideal structure: Science magazine and online classes to encourage participation.Â
It is important to consider how best to learn before the development of learning strategy / action plan to achieve our goals. Like me, you may find as I found out that the changes are aging. I am relying on my past experiences to construct new knowledge and understanding, whereas before I could absorb the facts, almost without effort.Â
Develop an action planÂ
Developing the skills tested in action may be the greatest challenge. The Action Plan can help. Effective action plan has four main elements:Â
A clear statement of purposeÂ
Actions necessary to achieveÂ
The criteria for evaluation, we have reached our goalÂ
To implement the action plan, I'll have to look for opportunities to learn and develop skills, preferably in collaboration with our employer. And because the benefits of professional development for both the employee and employer, I can affirm that our employer is asking me to contribute to my own professional development by engaging the portion of my time and perhaps the replacement cost.Â
Impact of workroleÂ
In adopting these learning styles, and many of al knowledge, now able to face obstacles and know how to remove these obstacles in front of you while working in an organization, we now see things differently and see them to remember forever, with the personal development that they themselves punctual, flexible and tailored to the situation. Understanding the purpose of supervision of employees in the workplace.Â
Meet the support staff or a surveillance system at my disposal. Learn how my work can have an impact on me personally, and where I can help you with this if necessary.Â
Task # 3
Personal development plans can be defined as a process that helps to reflect on their own learning, and success and personal development plan, school and work.Â
PDP, therefore, makes you realize how the progress and knowledge on this subject has many benefits. For example, it will be easier to identify areas of interest and to help teachers demonstrate to potential employers, through the PDP, has acquired a strategy that will make the desired objective, well-motivated and focused individual. Furthermore, the process of PDP can motivate, when interest begins to wane.Â
The main processes PDP help me to think about my learning and future plans are mostly:Â
Reflection - pulling out various thoughts and ideas make sense for theÂ
Registration - thoughts, ideas, experiences, you can keep records in writing or byÂ
Audio, video, etc.Â
Planning tasks - creating a plan for the implementation of more than one target.
Implementation - carrying out the activities listed in the Action Plan.
Evaluation - to develop a sense of what you did.
But the PDP presents and put into practice, the responsibility on me as an individual life plan, and act on plans to present evidence, have achieved.Â
PDP is not only useful for my studies - extracurricular activities and part-time work alsoÂ
contribute with my skills. Opportunities for the PDP can:  I take the modules, the modules focus on skills. Special effort, in which the modules areas in which I would like to improve, for example teamwork sessions or IT skills tutorial, tutorials, particularly personal, where I discuss the progress with the tutor.Â
Hobbies: I am an active member of the clubÂ
Activities: I was captain of the football teamÂ
part-time job: I worked as a part-time tapsÂ
PDP opportunities to practice may have a timetable of study, obvious through the study skills module or study skills tutorial. Sometimes opportunities arise in less obvious ways, for example, through a project or process extended, I need to take time, which I already know what you need to know and plan how I will continue.Â
Develop an action planÂ
My plan is to achieve all these things I want in my life is clear in its intentions clear and precise. The rule is to ask whether it is SMART, i.e.Â
I will identify and practice time management techniques to meet my deadline of the project consistently and without panic, "instead of" I learn how to manage time.Â
I set a weekly schedule of things to doÂ
I know there are workshops and books on time management and will use them to identify good practices.Â
I know I have some free time every morning, and I use this time to work on my technique.
I'll work on time, project, set weekly goals.Â
I put some clear goals, ranking their preferences, and then clearly define the specific objectives. These sub-goals will help me measure my progress on the road and help me to consider various steps, in advance, so that will not try to set goals unattainable. Often helpful to talk through setting goals with someone who can help me think and can go back to something I may have missed. Private teacher is a good person to ask.Â
keep a recordÂ
After checking their skills and action plans will produce written documents. I must also document that the skills developed and how assessed. It is important to keep records for several reasons:Â
helps me to measure progressÂ
use it when applying for a jobÂ
provides information on the share with my teacherÂ
help me determine how the plans can be improved
