As we all know, children and games cannot be separated. They are loved to play. Most of their time is spent for playing. By playing, children can build their brain power. Through the game, it can help the children to think, writing, coloring and painting, telling stories, working in groups and planning their strategy. These activities are all indirectly having a positive impact on the development of a child's mind.

Many of our greatest thinkers locate their capacity for original and profound thought in their imaginative abilities, first developed through creative play in early childhood [Sharna Olfman, Psychology Professor, Point Park University]. Play, in its diverse forms, constitutes an important part of children's cognitive and social development (Csikszentmihaly, 1990; Provost, 1990; Rogoff, 1993). In the context of cognitive development, playing is considered fundamental to the stabilizing processes that are essential for the development of cognitive structures. It is indiscernible for cognitive development by way of assimilation and accommodation processes. Through playing, children rehearse basic cognitive operations such as conservation, classification and reversibility (Piaget, 1951). Playing is above all, a privileged learning experience. As Vigotsky (1979) states, a child learns through playing with others, creating and improving his or her zone of proximal development, because playing often involves more complex activities than those the child experiences in daily life.

However, child play is different from a variety of ages and perspectives. For young children, play is fundamental mode of learning. An infant's playful babbling teaches them to create all the sounds needed to speak their native tongue or any language. A toddler learns that when you bang a metal spoon or wooden spoon, you get two very different sounds. A child learns through dramatic play that some children are bossy, others timid. Therefore, all game design should be in line by age of the child to help them to gain something while playing. Proper design that can fit with a child's age category will help them to develop and shaping their thinking level.

The purpose of this paper is to review the concept and attractive design for kindergarten learning methods for increasing their brain development. It will also describe the learning through creative way application for kindergarten children and finally, the last section will conclude the paper.

Concept and Design

Nowadays, most of the parents are sending their children to kindergarten to complete their child with early education. Children that are sent to kindergarten are mostly in the range of 3 to 6 years old. Most of the children spend their time at kindergarten and daycare more than compared to their time with their parents. Therefore, what they have learned in kindergarten is very important for them to learn about something. However, all this will depends on the methods they have learned. The kindergarten should know how to design a game or learning methods to make it look attractive and easy to play. Children will often be attracted to something that has a graphic design, colorful, musical. In this way, children would play while learning something. Children are like sponges, taking in information of all kinds, but they do not all learn the same way. Some children learn best by sound, while other learns best visually.

The design of learning methods that can attract the attention of the children should have the following features:

Art and Design

This design can make a children creating, designing and making something using a variety of materials and techniques. They also can explore some aspect like color, line, shape, space, form, texture and pattern in two and three dimensions. This things can leads them to develop visual, spatial and tactile awareness. They also can be encourage to use marks, picture drawings, paintings and constructions to create their personal view in response to what they see and experience.


By using music, children will experience pleasure, joy and creative expression. Music is one of the acceptable avenues for the release and expression of feelings and mood also an emotions. Children will enjoy music in all its form, participating in playing instruments, singing, moving rhythmically and expressively to music. Kindergarten should give the opportunities for them to listen to sounds, rhythms, nursery rhymes and a wide variety of music, to respond through movement, singing, clapping and creating their own music using percussion instruments and everyday objects.

Movement, Dance & Drama

Drama gives children opportunities to express themselves imaginatively and to recreate roles and experiences in which they can gain insight into personal and social development.

Kindergarten should give the opportunity to children so that they can express their imagination freely by providing good balance activities that develop fundamental skills such as writing, using paint, beating out a rhythm.

To improve quality of life for elderly, smart in-home care solution is an important aspect to be considered by all. In this our modern age, there is no more presence of family members at home to care for elderly daily routine. All of them are busy working to pursue their careers. Therefore, we need to ensure that elderly are able to run daily life

in an orderly and safe.

The proposed intelligent system is an alternative solution for oblivious problems. RFID tracking and reminding system will leading elderly take care themselves. There is no need to be surrounded by caregivers in order to remind elderly what they miss or what they need to do. This intelligent system will bring about the convenience of elderly life.

Elderly safety is another issue need to be deeply concerned. Home appliance control system will assist elderly to control and conducting their things in the house. The habit of the life-style of the person under care is stored in the system. The collected data are compared with the stored pattern and depending on the situation the actions are defined as unusual or abnormal. The system will trigger and give a warning if its detects any abnormal activity and it can send alarm message to caregiver. This system has a great potential to save human life especially elderly.
