Company social responsibility is a responsibility which have become an integral part of the corporate strategy.CSR has gone beyond just charity, social work and donations, it is something where one is actually venturing into a safe and secure future. Discussing on a more broader outlook, it is based on the concept where companies deal ethically, legally and where companies contribute for a better society and spruced environment. It is based on that how a company manages its core business.CSR has much broader perspective for the nation as a whole, it reduces the dependency on the government.CSR is about ethics and tradition, it includes various community work which have numerous forms, supporting ngo's financially is one of the example, but even if some companies are not able to reward or say support community activities, so at least the idea that the company actually cares will be having an optimistic impact.
On the other hand, AVIVA CSR policy is to serve the nation in its best possible way, to them it means doing business responsibly and to lead in providing the best of facilities. Aviva deals from health to environment concerns, and play a drastic role in accomplishing its goals .They have received numerous awards for their impeccable work in fulfilling their goals. Aviva covers various other policies to operate efficiently and effectively, it also conducts surveys to work for CSR.
COMPARISON BETWEEN AVIVA CSR POLICY AND LEEDS METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY CSR POLICY.
As we have seen that Aviva recognize its responsibility and commitments towards CSR which includes.
Ø CUSTOMER POLICY:-
Aviva deals with customer fairly and friendly, it develops various new products and schemes so that the customer could easily access to these and make the best possible use of them. it communicates with the customer well and serve them the best, it maintains appropriate and effective relationships with the customer.
Ø ENVIRONMENT POLICY:-
It covers that how to meet environmental challenges, it manages in integrating the environmental considerations, set targets and monitors climate change and waste, it supports for more carbon free environment and work for it.
Ø FINANCIAL POLICY:-
Aviva provides direction to their staff for the valuable management of their FCP, it provides safe system so that there each and every customer can easily access to it, they respond to illegal and fraudulent activity and take it as a matter of serious concern.
Ø HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY:-
Aviva ensures a working environment which is safe and fit for the business purpose which include staff, workers and all of them with whom so ever they deal with, it provides a better working environment to all of them.
Ø PEOPLE POLICY:-
Aviva see to that it is employing a right person and demonstrating them with the right skills and behaviors.

Aviva make sure that it is providing proper guidance to the staff on managing risks and opportunities.
Ø PURCHASING AND SUPPLY MANAGEMENT POLICY:-
Aviva sets out guiding principles on effective mitigation of risks. It adopts and uses standard good practices for all purchasing and supply activity, it ensures global application rather than just being UK centric.

LEEDS METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY CSR POLICY
University believes in quintessencing its values and bring them into practices , these values certainly deal with providing higher education, it is committed to its responsible behavior in its relationship with the institution and beyond, it ensures its obligations towards its core members .It look towards the integrity and transparency that connects all arenas that a institution should deal with. It maintains the partnership, inside and outside the university, it involves a throughout learning journey, it emphasizes on a more broader viewpoint in the various areas of the university.
It maintains a good ethical relationships with staff and community too, and ascertain equality among all, staff members are even rewarded for their work and provides them with enormous benefits, it also make certain to provide them health security in the community where it maintains a state involving mutual connectedness. It support ngo's,recently in Leeds met India they along with the support of students organized a show to entertain the children's of an ngo which works for the welfare of children's ,this shows that how socially responsible they are.
It sustain environment by consuming less energy, using efficient transport, meeting the required needs of the environment and keep a check on how things could be made even better.
While comparing we have seen that there are various strata's of responsibility where both Aviva and Leeds work to meet there goals and work for the welfare of the society, they both are very similar to each other in various perspectives, talking on the broader viewpoint toady companies have moved beyond a threshold, they have accepted the fact that beyond profits there is a political, social and environmental dimension to their activities that cannot be ignored.
