The responses to the student questionnaire was high. It was circulated to over 30 students in different schools. The proportion of students who were willing to be interview was moderately small, and five interview took place with students from different schools.

Student were offer the option of completing and returning the questionnaire directly after they answer the questionnaire or interview. In the end, eight of the usable responses were receiveelectronically and eight by internal mail. No difference emerge between questionnairessubmitt in each mode.

The student questionnaire was design after most of the result of the student questionnaire had been analyse, so that specific issue which arose from this could be raised with academic of student and social life. Because of the diversity of student attitude and experience, student were ask to estimate the amount of their life who show particular characteristic,

DATA COLLECTION INSTRUMENTS USED

For this project, I choose instrument or tool is survey. The number of respondents is 30 students. Selection criteria such as different school, gender and different country. For each type of venue. For example library, class and etc. The first set of question is close-ended, require only a quick answer from a set of options, plus an open ended question in the end.

Next is interview. The number of respondents is 5 students. Selection criteria is different school, gender and different country. This is a sample of the topics to cover. Appropriate time is about 10 minutes. Answer to open ended question, respondents need to write on the paper. Such as:

How do you manage time between your studies and social life?

Is there important to balance your studies with your private life? Give your reason.

What activities do you do when you have free time?

What do you priorities in learning at university?

What are the barriers that prevent you to manage time effectively?

BAR CHART:

We did research about 30 student. Male student participate about 14 respondents. While, female student participate about 16 respondents.

Respondents from category 19-23 years old participate about 20 students, respondents from category 24-28 years old participate about 6 students and respondents from category 29-33 years old participate about 4 students.

Mostly respondent are from Malaysia about 18 students. African is about 10 students and least are from China which is 2 students.

SOBM are most highest which is 18 students, while SOAF and SOCIT are 3 students, SOEE about 2 students and SOCE about 4 students.

Overall, this research are from local about 16 students, while international are 14 students.

2 students said that they manage their time more to study compare to social life. While 2 students said that their time more to social life compare to study and another student balancing her time balance to study and social life.

All the respondents said yes to question 2 is it important to balance studies and private life.

2 respondents said that the reason is to be success in studies, while 3 respondents said that they cannot mix studies and private life.

2 respondents said that the activities when they have free time is sports and 3 respondent said that the activities when they have free time is entertainment like watch movie and etc.

4 respondents said that their priorities in learning at university is knowledge and 1 respondent that their priorities in learning at university is environment.

2 respondents said that the barriers that prevent to manage time effectively is entertainment which is 40%, 2 respondents said that the barriers that prevent to manage time effectively is internet which is 40% and 1 respondent doing last minute which is 20%.

26.7 % of student said that they ‘strongly agreed’ with the statement ‘I find it easy to manage my own time at university’, and 3.3 % disagree. This suggests a very high level of confidence in time management skill, with nearly three-quarter feeling that this was an aspect of university live they could feel well.

Satisfaction with one independent working skills was significant related to both consistent working pattern and satisfaction with time management skill. Once again, a difference emerge here between student who strongly agreed in each case and those who simply agreed.

The other item was understanding of course rationale, with students who found it difficult to see a clear framework being more likely to perceive their workload as being too heavy. This may be because where students did not see a clear rationale they felt that the workload involved in balancing all of the elements of their course was greater.

student normally focus in their studies that an increasing number of students were require to combine private life and study. This is now a fact of university life and must be embrace by the student. Universities need not only to embrace the issue of balancing study and private life but must make it a right of way. Student appear to be sensible in their option of study and this manner to study may reflect the notion held by current student that they are effectively balancing studies and private life.

The main finding is mostly student know how to manage their time inclusive of balancing studies and private life. Students know the limit. When it comes to private life, mostly students will settle up their work or study first, then will go out for hangout with friends or watch movies.
