Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to educate parents and caretakers about the importance of early intervention, early diagnosis and treatment to help children with disabilities. This program want to inform parent and caretakers with children of Autism ages 0-6 years old in the Atlanta area about my program for children with autism and direct them to the KitKat The Educator Center (KKC) for information about developmental curriculum and training. Also To raise awareness of KitKat Center services both on-site and at home for children with Autism and encourage families to utilize services offered by KitKat The Educator.

History

It is important for parents to get help as soon as possible for children with Autism. This often involves a wide range of skills to help improve their development, academics, social, emotional, self help, communication, recreation, and leisure skills. It has been proven that a well structured environment for children with Autism help them functions better. Using the techniques taught in the schools system, my degree, experiences, workshops and training, I believe early intervention is the key to success for our disabled children.

The increasing prevalence of Autism has been on the raise since 1998 and it is still increasing as I write this paper. Statistics show developmental disability in the nation, affecting one in 88 children in 1998 and the increase in 2005 151 child is effected by Autism. Statistic show it is now the third most common childhood disorder, more common than Down Syndrome and childhood diabetes combined. School systems are recognizing parents need to be informed of the assessment, treatment, and intervention resources available to help their children if diagnosed with autism ( Dekalb County School District 2010). I believe small group session is important to teaching children with Autism. That is why I would love the opportunity to open my own center or school to work with Autistic children. My center or school KitKat The Educator will target Autism children, and we want to reassure parents that there is hope, and support through our services, individuals will be able to maximize their potential. KitKat Center has established itself as the institution that parents turn to for support, reassurance, and hope when faced with the uncertainty of their child's future (Dekalb County District, 2010). We want to reassure parents that there is hope, and through our services, individuals will be able to maximize their potential Dekalb County 2010).

To most effectively meet the needs of children with autism and their families, KitKat the Educator has developed a training and education center through Dekalb County School District, scheduled to open in 2013 (partner with Dekalb County District 2010). This new initiative will create a more timely early diagnosis screening for infants and toddlers who may be afflicted with Autism. Dekalb County School District will provide a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) to meet ever growing demand for extensive evaluation, assessment, and treatment services. KitKat Center will work collaboratively with local service providers, and school systems, to create a progressive and comprehensive treatment facility to best serve children's needs.

The notion that work experience alone contributes to expertise is commonly accepted but not well justified. The Dreyfus Model of Skill Acquisition is used in a variety of disciplines to provide a benchmark and assessment guide to skill development and competency. As individuals progress through these stages, they rely less on rigidly following prescribed rules, better comprehend the context of their work, and take increasing ownership of the outcomes. We describe the Dreyfus model and provide examples of what a financial planner might look like at each stage of the model. We also provide suggestions that may help a planner progress through the stages. The KitKat Center believes that all families should have access to consultative services that could positively impact the lives of children.

Individuals and their parents frequently turn to pediatricians, adolescent medicine specialists, and psychologists to answer questions about how to make their disabled child normal. Thinking it will be alright, but as we know all the technique will not change the situation. Trying to understand Autism is very complicate because the medical field cannot pinpoint the cause (Aylott, J. (2011). This business plan intent is to provide family with children with Autism an opportunity to enroo their child in an early intervention program. This business plan will help teach parents or family members how to practically apply techniques and curriculum in the home.

All profits from the investment of this endowment are used to fund tuition assistance scholarships for families in financial need, to ensure that children receive necessary services regardless of their families' ability to pay. In 2003 the center launched an outreach program that's designed to integrate child development, social services and educational training to meet the needs of young children at risk for developmental delays. The program does this by offering developmental screenings, functional training encompassing care of children with special needs in the childcare center and case management for families with children who have special needs. Today, they annually serve over 80 families from all over metro-Atlanta, including Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, autism, and many other rare conditions. In 1975, the center found a permanent home in Chamblee, purchasing our current building and performing an extensive retrofit with a generous grant from The Variety Club of Atlanta, state monies, and individual contributions.
