Introduction

As we all know, children and games cannot be separated. They are loved to play. Most of their time is spent for playing. By playing, children can build their brain power. Through the game, it can help the children to think, writing, coloring and painting, telling stories, working in groups and planning their strategy. These activities are all indirectly having a positive impact on the development of a child's mind.

Many of our greatest thinkers locate their capacity for original and profound thought in their imaginative abilities, first developed through creative play in early childhood [Sharna Olfman, Psychology Professor, Point Park University]. Play, in its diverse forms, constitutes an important part of children's cognitive and social development (Csikszentmihaly, 1990; Provost, 1990; Rogoff, 1993). In the context of cognitive development, playing is considered fundamental to the stabilizing processes that are essential for the development of cognitive structures. It is indiscernible for cognitive development by way of assimilation and accommodation processes. Through playing, children rehearse basic cognitive operations such as conservation, classification and reversibility (Piaget, 1951). Playing is above all, a privileged learning experience. As Vigotsky (1979) states, a child learns through playing with others, creating and improving his or her zone of proximal development, because playing often involves more complex activities than those the child experiences in daily life.

However, child play is different from a variety of ages and perspectives. For young children, play is fundamental mode of learning. An infant's playful babbling teaches them to create all the sounds needed to speak their native tongue or any language. A toddler learns that when you bang a metal spoon or wooden spoon, you get two very different sounds. A child learns through dramatic play that some children are bossy, others timid. Therefore, all game design should be in line by age of the child to help them to gain something while playing. Proper design that can fit with a child's age category will help them to develop and shaping their thinking level.

The purpose of this paper is to review the concept and attractive design for kindergarten children learning methods for increasing their brain development. It will also describe the learning through various creative way application for kindergarten children and finally, the last section will conclude the paper.

Concept and Design

Nowadays, most of the parents are sending their children to kindergarten to complete their child with early education. Children that are sent to kindergarten are mostly in the range of 3 to 6 years old. Most of the children spend their time at kindergarten and daycare more than compared to their time with their parents. Therefore, what they have learned in kindergarten is very important for them to learn about something. However, all this will depends on the methods they have learned. The kindergarten should know how to design a game or learning methods to make it look attractive and easy to play. Children will often be attracted to something that has a graphic design, colorful, musical. In this way, children would play while learning something. Children are like sponges, taking in information of all kinds, but they do not all learn the same way. Some children learn best by sound, while other learns best visually.

To ensure an exciting learning methods, some design aspects that may be included in the learning method is as follows:

Art and Design

This design can make a children creating, designing and making something using a variety of materials and techniques. They also can explore some aspect like color, line, shape, space, form, texture and pattern in two and three dimensions. This things can leads them to develop visual, spatial and tactile awareness. They also can be encourage to use marks, picture drawings, paintings and constructions to create their personal view in response to what they see and experience.

Music

By using music, children will experience pleasure, joy and creative expression. Music is one of the acceptable avenues for the release and expression of feelings and mood also an emotions. Children will enjoy music in all its form, participating in playing instruments, singing, moving rhythmically and expressively to music. Kindergarten should give the opportunities for them to listen to sounds, rhythms, nursery rhymes and a wide variety of music, to respond through movement, singing, clapping and creating their own music using percussion instruments and everyday objects.

Movement, Dance & Drama

Drama gives children opportunities to express themselves imaginatively and to recreate roles and experiences in which they can gain insight into personal and social development.

Creative use of language in story telling / roll play

Kindergarten should give the opportunity to children so that they can express their imagination freely by providing good balance activities that develop fundamental skills such as writing, using paint, beating out a rhythm.

Currently good practices for creative plays that implement at kindergarten are as follow:

Art & Play Class

Children learned to do some art drawing using material available at kindergarten such as using color, brush, clay, sand, water color and some natural materials. By produce this drawing, children will have the opportunity to select and choose various materials, recognize color, learn about the several of shapes and spaces. Children will enjoy these activities as it will make them feel confidence to make a design.

Outdoor Activities Day

Twice a week, children will be bringing with the outdoor activities. Therefore they could learn about color and texture of natural things, thinking creatively about the world and technologies around them. And put some music element while having an outdoor activity. They were given an opportunity to hear and sing national anthem song, nursery rhymes and others children songs. Some quiz are conducted which children need to recognize things by hearing to the music. By having these activities, children will explore and recognize natural things, technologies, sounds and song. They also can sing simple song from memory and also can develop an awareness that sounds and music can be interpreted through movement.

Water-play Activities Day

Twice a month, children will be given experience splashing in water on water play day. Kindergarten teacher must need to be aware of each child's activities and not to be left their alone. By having some fun splashing in water, children will learn and explore their experience at bath-time, washing dishes and clothes, respond to instructions like fill the cup, pour the water to the jug or cup and will touching surface tension whether it's deep or shallow. Every child will love this activity as they love to play water. Besides having some fun, they also can learn so many things.

Dance and Singing Class

Every children love dance and singing. With this dance and singing class activities, the children had been given opportunity to participate in simple musical activities, such as singing and memorize, acting in musical drama, storytelling with a sound background, begin to recognize patterns and rhymes in music and song and use pictures and symbols to represent words in a song. By having all this activities, it might actually built up children memory and thinking level without put any pressure on children to remember things that are difficult for them to remember. Children will quickly remember what has been done and what has been seen by them.

Building an educational foundation at an early age is important in the life of a child. However, young children do not possess attention spans to sit for long amounts of instructional time. Therefore, a majority of early childhood learning should take place in a manner that is fun and attractive to the child. Learning games are a great way to teach many basic concepts to kindergarten children. Thus, the method or design early learning among children should be emphasized. As we can see, children are more easily attracted to something interesting like a cheerful color, pictures and graphics, music and art, singing and dancing, storytelling which by this attractive design it become more easily to them to learn and memorize things forever thus help the development of their thinking and learning skill. Therefore, designing an attractive game and learning methods to the kindergarten children is important to ensure they are able to learn a sense of fun and at the same time can help to improve their learning capabilities without put any pressure to them.
