Foley and Linda address the process of learning language among children. The primary purpose of the book is to show how literature enables children to understand language fast. According to the authors, that literature is critical in learning the language.  Literature allows children to acquire reading skill and gain confidence while speaking. In relevance to the current study, the authors have discussed the influence of literature on language and how students can be motivated to read a wide variety of literature including magazines, newspapers, and texts on television. The primary strength of the book is the way it is arranged into topics and subtopics after which the author redirects the reader to other references for further reading.

In other words, they tend to practice what they have learned from literature in either outdoor or indoor games or both. The major limitation of the book does not describe in much detail or give examples of the games children try to practice from reading literature.
