Introduction

This assignment is an advanced diploma level project done by the student of IADCS (International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies). A student from KMD Computer Centre is carried out this assignment. IADCS level include first module Enterprise network and second module. I have to observe Enterprise Network, Advance java and Business System Analysis and Design subject in first module.

I have to make enterprise network the name of Townsville police department. In Enterprise Networking assignment, the name of the Townsville police department that we are going to develop we had study two-way voice communication and internet connection for the police department. We have to know cable and topology. This police department is made crime photo and video, two -way voice communication, Key telephone system (KTS) and Private Branch Exchange (PBX).

After studying the assignment I have to know network topologies, cables, two way voice communication, and ISP service. I have to make GSM to setup at the police department. So we have to find out solution for the suitability and we can make decision for which one is suitable for the police department. I have used to write for the internet and reference book in task 1 - 4.

Network topologies are vital aspect of every network and it is mainly concerned for network communication facilities. Currently, Townsville Police Department required renewing and restructuring their networks and communications channel infrastructures. So, firstly we investigate following network topologies as following;

The bus topology

The bus topology communicated each mainframe on the network into a modest called the part trunk. According to our country condition, there are only two internet service provider such as Myanmar Teleport and Red Link. Among them, I strongly recommend for Myanmar Teleport. The basic rate and costs for ADSL connection of Myanmar Teleport are as following;

Among these two options of ISPs, I prefer to Myanmar Teleport for police department. Because of it is government based company and police department is government bodies so they should connect this. Additionally, Myanmar Teleport can offer the acceptable charges and appropriated services for police department as following;

The police department should use ADSL frequencies bandwidth that is lower cost than the others. The installation cost is much cheaper than the others. It can also provide to transfer data (image, video). ADSL connection is easy to install while having a single phone line. In our country, telecommunication services are only provided by local government. Therefore we must be required the permission of government telecommunication ministry for GSM usage and licensing. After permission is completed, we can use GSM with rental permission. Police department is a government body and I think that it can easily install the GSM for their communication framework. And then our local GSM network restricted the some services of GSM such live cam services and connection. Furthermore our local government can support the special services for police department such as high priority telephone number, high speed connection for some areas etc. Our local GSM service is not fully cover the whole country range. It can only cover some capitals such as Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyidaw etc. And then it divided local call charges and over sea calls charges. So, police department should concentrate on these related issues. As another option, police department can use the prepaid card services. Although, it is too cheapest service for initial set up cost but it too high for long term owner ship cost and phone number is not permanent and need to repeat changes is required.

For WALKIE TALKE service of our country, firstly police department required to submit application to telecommunication ministry. After permission is completed, police department must construct their WALKIE TALKIE communication network with related hardware and software. And then, they must allocate and assign identity number for each communication station.
