Personal development planning (PDP) is the process that support and structure an individual to imitate upon their personal learning, performance and achievement and to plan their personal, educational and career development.
What is personal development planning?
Through personal development planning (pdp) students can check, make and imitate upon their personal development. The higher education plays an important role in PDP that give confidence to learners to plan their own learning, to take action on their plans, to appraise their learning and to generate evidence of learning
Why do it?
To enhance the capacity of the students to understand how they are doing everything for example learning, review , plan and how they are responsible for their own learning is the main purpose for PDP, which help the students in following area

Thinking about where you are now, what you like/dislike, reflecting on your strengths and improvements you would like to achieve
Planning (setting goals or targets and thinking about how they might be achieved). where you want to get to, what skills and knowledge you will need to develop and how you will acquire them via learning opportunities open to you
Doing things (actions and behaviors that are consistent with plans and learning through the experience of doing with greater awareness). putting your action plan into practice; recording the development you make; identifying when you have reached a goal
Recording (thoughts, ideas, experiences and results through writing, audio, video, visual or other means to demonstrate learning and achievement and to provide an evidence base to support reflective learning).
Reviewing (the evidence of learning, reflecting on what has happened and making sense of it).
Evaluating (making judgements about self and own work and determining what needs to be done to develop/improve/move on).

I got my all education primary or secondary from my home country I had been a good student in my class from primary education. I usually got distinction and achieve first position this achievement boosted my confidence. This helps me to develop analytical skills and confidence to make judgments and decisions. As I was interested in business studies I joined Business Management studies at this University.
Now I am pursuing BA in Business Management from this business school in England. An international qualification adds value and knowledge not only to my personal development but also in my professional career.
My keen interest is in corporate world It will allow me to work as HR assistant in an organisation. From my career point of view my area of interest is recruitment and selection in Human resource field. For my long term career goal I would like to see myself as a HR director in a large multinational company.
3. LEARNING STYLE
Cameron S. (2005) there is lots of different methods to measure an individual learning style. People also differ from the way they learn. Kolb s learning style is one of the most famous tools to identify learning style.
Here is an exercise by which we can realise what kind of individual you are. There are four numbers and you have to choose only one according to the most suitable sentence for your personality.

There are four main type of learning style discussed below:
you love new ideas not very much interested in theory. You always like to learn from case study discussions and lectures. You like to work in the team. You are very quick in the implication always try to find out quick solution and apply them.
For my personal assessment I have found myself to be a pragmatist. I ignore theory and I am much interested in quick action. In my past I was in a job like where I had to make decision on the spot such as I had to persuade people and I used to be successful in my job. So I find myself pragmatists on learning assessment.
4. Development on skill areas
There are lot of skills required to be an effective professional. As discussed above there are four main key competency areas which was required for me in order to enhance my skills. In this section I will examine these skills area:

The cognitive skills of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, including the ability to identify assumptions, evaluate statements in terms of evidence, to detect false logic or reasoning, to identify implicit values, and to define terms adequately and to generalise appropriately.

a. Effective problem solving and decision making
Effective problem solving and decision making is the important skills for students because Problem solving and decision-making plays an important role in the business and life. Problem-solving and decision making depended on each other because Effective problem solving involves decision-making, and decision-making enhance the skills of student for management and leadership. For the quality decision making and problem solving involves a different processes and techniques to improve decision-making and the quality of decisions. Decision-making is more natural to certain personalities, so these people should focus more on improving the quality of their decisions
Decision-making maxims will help to reinforce the above decision-making process whether related to problem-solving or not, for example:

There are four skills for the effective communication.
Create an encouraging environment: create an environment where every one can express them self.
Be assertive: Rather than agrresive communication use assertive communication where you can express your idea and listener ideas is also heard.
Express yourself non-verbally as well: the other effective way of conversation is your body language through which you inforce your massage.
Follow up: it is necessary to follow up the previous issues that had been resolved.
3. Numeric and Quantitative skills objectives
This include the analysis the data, interpretation and exploration of data given in the course work. To learn how to use models of business problems and phenomena in the assignments and draw a solution from the information obtained.
Effective Self Management

Many of us write ourselves notes as reminders, set an alarm clock to awaken, tie strings around our fingers to remember. Such self-management behaviors and today's focus on teamwork, empowerment, self-managed work groups, egalitarianism, and flatter organizations put a premium on such activities (Dessler, 1999).
To manage yourself autonomously it is very effective self managent. It could involve being able to forbear a few things that personally disappoint you, it could be saving money on things you usually cannot ignore. Self-management leads to success. To be able to manage yourself and build your assets and skills, with a capability to delay gratification gives you a lot of pathways in your future. It is also essential that once you achieve something, know that it is not an achievement once it has been achieved for quite long.. Make sure that once you finish something, you move on to something else. This is the way to an enhanced future career!
Self-awareness plays an important role in management skills and personal development through this we can advance our decision and help us identify prospect.
The following are the key area for self awareness.
Personality. If we have self awareness regarding to our personality it is helfull to avoid such situation in which we will experience too much stress because we normally don t change our personality and if we have self awareness regarding to our personality we can overcome on this problem.
Values. By knowing our values we know our priorities and by spending more time on our higher priorities we can easily achieve what we consider most important.
Habits. If we self aware about our habits that we automatically or repeatedly do we can easily achieve our goal.
Needs. By knowing which needs exert the strongest influence in our life we can achieve our goal and it will never cause frustration, conflict and stress
Emotions. Emotional self-awareness has become a hot topic of discussion recently because it's one of the five facets of emotional intelligence. Understanding your own feelings, what causes them, and how they impact your thoughts and actions is emotional self-awareness. If you were once excited about your job but not excited now, can you get excited again? To answer that question, it helps to understand the internal processes associated with getting excited. That sounds simpler than it is. Here's an analogy: I think I know how my car starts--I put gas in the tank, put the key in the ignition, and turn the key. But, my mechanic knows a lot more about what's involved in getting my car started than I do--he knows what happens under the hood. My mechanic is able to start my car on the occasions when I'm not because he understands the internal processes.
