Our society is a material base which determines the economic and technology. After the shifting of classes in 1950, creativity is taking a major role of our society. As mention in the chapter, creativity has become the main determine of the economic growth of the society. The Creative class that engages in creativity drives America's economy. (FLORIDA, 2004) Richard Florida mentions that Creativity is the highest level of the education, companies have a trend moving to the areas where the creative class are formed; correlation between economic growth and the area's tolerance, diversity and openness to creativity, are the determines of why creative people would want to work there. One of the main arguments is that Creative class has increasingly dominating its role of the society. Creative Class can build up solidity to help others who are not included in that class and improve the society by increase the total wealth and technology generated by increasing the amount of people in the creative class (i.bid). The idea of significant of an information and creative economy is inspired Paul Fussell about the classes and the mental state of the people carried out (i.bid). The theory of X class in his book of Class influenced Richard Florida to explain X Class into the creative class and precisely differentiate into super creative core, creative class working class and service class.

Base on Richard Florida, the values of the creative class are individuality, diversity and openness and meritocracy. Meritocracy has an important role of leading the rise of Creative class, because they wanted to accomplish their interest and do what they are best at. The pressure organizations categorize people by their abilities instead of race, gender or other preferences, then people will feel comfortable and loyal to the work place since the goal of creative class workers are no longer for the survivals. This idea has been adapted by David B. and the writers of the book "Entrepreneurship and economic growth". They mentioned the idea of Openness and diversity will allow business to generate and create unique thoughts by allowing diverse people to clash their creativity.( DAVID B,2006)
Richard Florida gave out states and graphs to evident his arguments. The creative class consist around 38 million people and within the creative class, there are 15 million recognized as the super-creative core. The service class has half of the incoming of creative class and the super-creative core. Nevertheless, there are people that are close to the creative class within the service class (FLORIDA, 2004)
The creative class is still continuously expanding while the nature of jobs has changed, replacing the robotic flow of production allowing more creativity involve. The key to raise the lower class is not providing more social welfares but giving them areas to emerge their creativity. It is significant that the changes nature of occupations, new forms of the company hierarchy has created to allow more self autonomy and self motivation rather than follow orders from the management levels. Richard Florida used secretary as an example, they no longer performs large amount of secretarial jobs, and where they become more of an office manager controls the flow of information and contributes intelligence between the processes. The people in creative class are more flexible which allows them to be expose to changes and new technology, that is a reason of which they are captain of the society. At the argument of urban planning and opportunities will gather the creativity class into a city, Edward Glaeser objects with his argument. Richard Florida argues that the effective of bohemian and creative type of a city is not necessary the main determinant of creative people resident at a city. Base on Edward Glaeser's own study, conclusion is that creative people tends to have better life and therefore the choices of a better social environment and education for the next generation is more essential. He also raised the example used by Richard Florida, Texas to explain that it is not the best place for Bohemian paradise. (GLAESER, 2004) The creative class can be found in different types cities no matter it is big city like New York or educational cities college towns.
Creative class has been one of the main part of the society, it is an experience of change that all the new generations has to go through, unlike the old generations, new generations have to be well rounded and adapt to the newest technology to accomplish personal interests. Even though the improvement of technology has allow us no to be bounded by the scarcity of survival; it is harder to accomplish the raised standards.
