The world is facing challenges like global warming, poverty and economic recession but none of the above cause a critical impact than terrorism (terror). There have been numerous accounts of terrorism in the past and may be still yet to come. These terrorism accounts have affected not only the country where it happened but also the world economy .This paper will focus on the war against terror, discussing methods being used in fighting terror and addressing issues caused by the war against terror and asking ourselves if we can really succeed in this war?
Terrorism is a premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by sub national groups or agents, usually intended to influence an audience (Leonard Weinberg and William L.Eubank the roots of terrorism 2006)
Terror is at its peak in this 21st century, where terrorism is the most discussed topic within countries and most debatable. There is no doubt about it being strictly man-made, and it is therefore preventable by man. Every concerned groups, alliances, and organizations have worked hand in hand to eliminate terrorism. But time has proven that doing so is not possible for the coming years. Like the progress in technology that is being used for the betterment of mankind, terrorist groups have also made a way to use the advancement of technology in making their tools in bringing terror around the world .They not only progressed in making equipments for destruction, they only succeed in getting new members making the war against terror more of a long-term or perhaps infinite
Overview of the Terror Organization
Terrorist's organizations have protocols like any other organization. Like economical organization terrorists always wait for some provision in order to act its Conditions such as poverty, corruption, religious conflict that create opportunities for terrorists to exploit. Terrorists use these conditions to rationalize their actions and expand their support. The belief that terror is a legitimate means to address such conditions and effect political change is a fundamental problem enabling terrorism to develop and grow. Terrorists must have a foundation in order to function this serves like a base. Once entrenched in a safe operating environment, the organization can begin to congeal and develop.
The key to successful terrorism is to terrify. In order to terrify an individual, the individual must become terrifically afraid. Terrorist to their best in order to make sure that people are terrified thus managing to actually implement their terror attacks. Highly successful terrorism includes threats of future acts of violence, keeping the terrorists' victim in terror at all times.
Terror expands due to how terrorists manage to reach all class of people and spread the terror, once the terror is broadened through out to the public the terrorists exploit each vulnerability possible to strike.
Once the terror organization is understood and not underestimated, we can be able to draw some attack lines and hopefully will be able to eliminate the terror organization.
Technology and terrorism
The use of terrorism has been increasing recently for so many reasons. Factors like modern technology increase the spread of terror rather than politics. Terrorist's victim also more vulnerable than in the past, because of current technology make terrorist easier to gain an audience, and modern technology has caused the creation of lethal weapon increasingly that made terrorist able to kill and injure large numbers of people. The world has changed instantly since the introduction of the internet. For example, the internet creates a very fast and easy way for terrorists to communicate, post terror videos and recruits more people. In the internet environment, terrorists carry out funding, sharing intelligence, training, logistics, planning, and executing attacks. Terrorist groups with objectives in one country or region can draw strength and support from groups in other countries or regions.
War on terror
Everyone today perhaps hears or reads the word terrorism in media. Though the whole world is troubled by this worldwide issue and associated in its fight, several countries acknowledged war on terror. Is war the right way to fight terrorism? Many don't agree and somehow war is increasing terrorism, and then it will be much more efficient if we start fighting the root cause of terrorism not fight after a terrorism attack. Terrorism is spreading very fast and becoming more dangerous; terrorists are using new methods and aiming at more victims than ever. Â "The war on terror is the leading cause of terrorism". In another terms, war on terrorism has made the world more dangerous because for an attempt to stop terrorism, governments, military organization and counter-terrorism societies are going out and methodically eliminating races of people who have terrorist members. We are asked to think that this will put a halt to terrorism. However, this is to far way to accept as true. It seems to that putting an end to terrorism by killing everyone who might strike back, might look like an act of terrorism itself. And bear in mind that when we strike countries that have terrorists groups and accidentally kill innocent people this becomes another motivation to terrorist groups and attracting young group to terrorism.
To truly put an end to terrorism, we must first determine what causes terrorism, and put an end to its cause. To truly put an end to terrorism, we must first determine what causes terrorism, and put an end to its cause.
Governments and counter terror organizations believe in a presumption that terrorism is caused by people in other ethnicity that wants to cause terror. Their option is to eliminate every person who would be valiant enough to cause terror, and scare the rest of the world into giving in, through threats, intimation or complete violence. But as we have seen for the past few years and now this method is not working or might even be causing more harm than the good we expected because We all know that fighting violence with violence only creates more violence. It seems that more people get angry the more we kill them, or threaten them. This does not look like the end to terrorism but rather looks more like the emergent phase of terrorism.
The fact is, that as long as we think we can end terrorism by attacking the terrorist's with armed strikes and brutal force, and thereby be at peace, our peace is dependent on their success of our arms but we forget that also the terrorists have generations to come so this will make it so of a circle than we thought. This is an exceedingly vulnerable position. No doubt we seem to go off at the slightest frustration. We are scared to death. Going off to fight a war on foreign soil is neither brave nor courageous but rather lethal and creating more enemy than we had before. Governments and counter terror organization do it because they are terrified. They don't know how to end terrorism, so while it exists, they want to strike every time there is a sign of terrorism, hoping terrorists will cool down or be afraid of the strikes. That's why we go to war and may be that's why this war against terror is too far from ending.
Terrorism is a worldwide issue one of which no one can avoid. It has its effects on everyone and each individual has their own opinion of it. War has changed it is no longer whole countries against each other deciding to invade and conquer others but is now of the terror agenda. Now small organization of people being empowered by religious beliefs are attacking those they believe to be against there religion or who's society is different. Due to this t most of the countries today have created tight measures in hunting the terrorists and those who can be classified as would be terrorists . Time and again, the success in the battle against terrorism is not yet possible
