I am visiting a hotel in my country .This hotel is similar to bus Express .they are also given same facility to client. This hotel are using pbx telephone system for telephone sector .This hotel also have reception desk for customer check in and check out and booking room. This hotel has six main telephone lines and they given extension line to customer room for communication .now I am doing this task for the experience to investigate my country hotel.

Main Equipment:

PBX machine: A private branch exchange (PBX) is a telephone exchange that serves a particular business or office, as opposed to one that a common carrier or telephone company operates for many businesses or for the general public.

Fax machine: A fax (short for facsimile) is a document sent over a telephone line. Fax machines have existed, in various forms, since the 19th century (see "History" below), though modern fax machines became feasible only in the mid-1970s as the sophistication of technology increased and cost of the three underlying technologies dropped. Digital fax machines first became popular in Japan, where they had a clear advantage over competing technologies like the teleprinter, since at the time it was faster to handwrite kanji than to type the characters. Over time, faxing gradually became affordable, and by the mid-1980s, fax machines were very popular around the world.

Cable: A cable is two or more wires running side by side and bonded, twisted or braided together to form a single assembly. In mechanics cables, otherwise known as wire ropes, are used for lifting, hauling and towing or conveying force.

Telephone set: electronic equipment that converts sound into electrical signals that can be transmitted over distances and then converts received signals back into sounds.

Conference set: Conference set and the telephone set are same. But extra facility that is people can talk in conference.

Extension telephone set: Extension telephone set and Telephone set are same.

Telephone line: telephone wire: the wire that carries telegraph and telephone signals.

TASK1 (B)

Cable

Cat6

This is a cable. Some features are: Quite often CAT5 cable is recommended as the ideal cable to use for ADSL wiring. CAT 5 cable is a twisted pair cable so it is perfectly suitable for the purpose of ADSL. CAT5 cable is designed for Ethernet networking applications that run at much higher frequencies and higher data rates than those of any variant of ADSL. As a result the wire used is thicker and the cable has a higher number of twists per meter than CW1308 cable as it is required for the higher frequency signal. Similarly CAT6 cable has even more turns per meter and even thicker wire is used to account for gigabit Ethernet speeds. There is very little benefit in choosing CAT5 or CAT6 cable over the standard CW1308 cable as the extra twists will not benefit the ADSL signal. CAT5/6 cable is much bulkier than CW1308 as it typically has 4 pairs (8 wires) and is usually supplied in a grey finish making more difficult to hide. Our recommendation is that if you are already installing CAT5 cable for networking and are able to hide it away then it there is no harm in using it for ADSL extension wiring at the same time as you probably have bought a drum of it and have some spare.

Main Equipment:

Network router: A router is a device that interconnects two or more computer networks, and selectively interchanges packets of data between them. Each data packet contains address information that a router can use to determine if the source and destination are on the same network, or if the data packet must be transferred from one network to another.

Wireless access point: In computer networking, a wireless access point (WAP) is a device that allows wired communication devices to connect to a wireless network using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or related standards. The WAP usually connects to a router, and can relay data between the wireless devices (such as computers or printers) and wired devices on the network.

Wireless Adapter: A device that adds wireless connectivity to a computer or PDA. It is attached via a USB port, PC Card, memory card or is plugged into the PCI bus inside the computer. There are three types of wireless adapters: Wi-Fi, cellular and Bluetooth.

Printers: In computers, a printer is a device that accepts text and graphic output from a computer and transfers the information to paper, usually to standard size sheets of paper. Printers are sometimes sold with computers, but more frequently are purchased separately. Printers vary in size, speed, sophistication, and cost. In general, more expensive printers are used for higher-resolution color printing.

Web Server: A web server is a computer program that delivers (serves) content, such as web pages, using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), over the World Wide Web. The term web server can also refer to the computer or virtual machine running the program. In large commercial deployments, a server computer running a web server can be rack-mounted with other servers to operate a web farm.

Cable: A cable is two or more wires running side by side and bonded, twisted or braided together to form a single assembly. In mechanics cables, otherwise known as wire ropes, are used for lifting, hauling and towing or conveying force.

Switch: In electronics, a switch is an electrical component that can break an electrical circuit, interrupting the current or diverting it from one conductor to another.[1][2] The most familiar form of switch is a manually operated electromechanical device with one or more sets of electrical contacts.

BusExpress hotel wireless network and broadband system equipment and cost are those. BusExpress hotel wireless network and broadband system are very good structure. In this wireless network and broadband system customers can use www and chat any where, can conference anywhere.

Task 3(A)

Access methods

Who to a customer can access to the WI-FI system that is describing in this task. In below some access methods are:

A customer first access method is that book the hotel room.

Than give the WI-FI system subscription.

Than hotel reception desk or manager gives him a password that is needed, when customer access to the WI-FI system that time password are must needed.

Than customer can access to the WI-FI.

Task 3(B)

When customer Accommodation or conference subscription over or expire, or customer booking room date over that time hotel stop the services. But if customers need to stay at hotel or n need to use service that time customer can not use all services, we can called it limitation of access.

There some limitations of accesses are

Customer can not use conference facility.

Customer can not use WI-FI system.

Customer can not use printer to print any thinks to customer laptop.

Customer can to use fax.

Task 3(c)

Controlling access to print facilities

BusExpress hotel must control the printing facilities, because when some customers print normally five six page it don't problem the hotel. But when customers print more page than that is a problem for hotel. For that hotel must control the printing access.

Some controls to printer are:

Control that who is the user of printer.

Collect that information how many page are printed.

When customers print too many page that time hotel must charged for that.

Wireless network is sensitive network. If wireless access point set up in a room , that room are locked every where, means signal did not pass that time user can not use wireless network. Wireless signal have some strength. For that wireless access point must set up in a place where signal can pass.

Some methods of set up and run wireless access point are in below:

Cheeked every where and set up in a proper place.

Than run wireless network.

User guide

Checklist is:

Customer must pay the subscription.

Than the hotel give the customer password to access to the network.

When customer collect the password, than customer can access to the network.

User can do and can't do whilst connected to the wireless network

Can do

User can access to the wireless network.

User can access to the www.

User can print anything on his laptop.

Wireless network should be run and set up in a structure. If wireless network are not run in a structure than anyone can access to that network. For avoiding that, hotel must set up user password system to access to the wireless network. For doing that other people did not access the network, And also wireless network are more secure.

Task4 (A)

Email is one of the most heavily used internet tools. The objective of email is to send messages from one person to another or one company to another using the internet as the delivery mechanism. Access to e-mail is very important security of a hotel. Unauthorized person don not access to e-mail it must me secure. In below some email attacks are:

Zombie

Fast infectors

Slow infectors

There are some solutions:

Encryption with a variable key: A more advanced method is the use of simple encryption to encipher the virus. In this case, the virus consists of a small decrypting module and an encrypted copy of the virus code.

Mails sever: The email server is the target for incoming mail. It stores mail messages intended for users within the organization until they are ready to collect them.

TASK (B)

Business information are very important. Who can we transmission of sensitive business information in the wireless network are in below:

PGP encryption: We can use pgp encryption when mail is send to the wireless network. PGP encryption is encrypted data when data are sending to the network.

Mail server: We can also use Mail server. The email server is the target for incoming mail. It stores mail messages intended for users within the organization until they are ready to collect them.

Security measures

There are three Security measures that implemented to remove and reduce threats of system.

Privacy: the network should offer a reasonable level of assurance to its users that only those users that are authorized to access its services are actually to do so.

Integrity: the network should offer a reasonable level of assurance that the information transmitted by a user of its services is not modified, lost or corrupted in transit across the network to its intended recipient.

Availability: the network should offer a reasonable level of assurance that it will be available for use as and when its users reasonably require to use it.

Task5
