The overall trend is clearly towards greater racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity in both the general population and the work force. Increased diversity may present a challenge to business leaders who must work to maximize the opportunities that diversity provides while minimizing its costs. In today's world multicultural working environment has taken a lead role to unite and promote the different cultures of the world. It helps in flourishing the communications. It is a key to achieve business innovations and  results .It immensely helps in making the  most out of the  situations  by discovering the  potential of the people coming from the  different cultural  background  and insight and  utilising it in a right way. A  few conceivable disadvantages of multicultural environment is that it  may lead to racial tensions among different ethnicities or other strained relations amongst different groups. These negative outcomes generally are the result of people who are ill-informed and allow them to maintain a stance that come across as ignorance and bias. Friendly atmosphere should be maintained as that would make the  people  who  are hesitant in their approach to speak out and  interact openly within and  outside  the team, workshops  should  be  held for  networking, mentoring and  information sharing ,thus providing a vibrant force to d high performance culture. Thus a diverse workforce is a must for enhancing the performance and productivity for every organisation. Working in a multi cultural environment improves the participants performance, efficiency, effectiveness in their professional relationships with social network and foreign contacts. It helps in developing inter personal relationships which further helps in learning  the  nature of other cultures so that one is able to learn and respect d cultural differences  and  experience their lifestyle. The  right and   healthy acceptance of the corporate life will only steer the way forward. Entrusting "flexibility" is also very important to gain a fast track programme, regular worships should be held which may help in improving the peoples commutation and  interpersonal skills. . The organization that achieves this objective will create an environment in which all employees are able to contribute to their fullest potential, and in which the 'value in diversity' can be fully realized.

Managing this diversity in such a way that the benefits are maximized and the challenges minimized is an important aspect of managing any business today. Data from the U.S. Census Bureau on the racial and ethnic breakdown of the population in 2000 (the most recent decennial census data) show that those self identified as White represented 75.1 percent of the population, down from 85.9 percent in 1980. A great deal of diversity within the racial and ethnic divisions measured by the Census Bureau also exists-Italian Americans, for example, are likely to have very different cultural habits than do immigrants from Russia or from any one of the countries in the Middle East. Hispanics from Argentina are also likely to differ quite a lot in cultural habits from Hispanics whose origin is Puerto Rico. But these additional levels of diversity only add complexity to the picture. The overall trend is clearly towards greater racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity in both the general population and the work force. The organization that achieves this objective will create an environment in which all employees are able to contribute to their fullest potential, and in which the 'value in diversity' can be fully realized. A company that wishes to encourage diversity and a multiplicity of view points should start by restating the common goals and objectives of the company. This may seem contradictory but it is not. Establishing a well-defined sphere in which diverse ideas and view points may be freely expressed in the pursuit of a common goal is an essential part of encouraging a free flow of ideas.

These negative outcomes generally are the result of people who are ill-informed and allow them to maintain a stance that come across as ignorance and bias.  Rather from than the actual mixing of cultures some may argue against globalism and multicultural diversity because they might think  it results in the blending and  thus the loss of distinct cultures because the thought is that once people begin blending,  the original cultures get lost in the shuffle.

Recommendations

We  have seen that multicultural environment is a blessing to the world as it helps in uniting the world and spreading peace. It also gives ample opportunities of learning about  the different cultures, lifestyles and respecting their importance. Therefore efforts should be made to create an ambience where cultural identities must be considered to b multiple, interactive and  dynamic.

Friendly atmosphere should be maintained as that would make the  people  who  are hesitant in their approach to speak out and  interact openly within and  outside  the team, workshops  should  be  held for  networking, mentoring and  information sharing ,thus providing a vibrant force to d high performance culture.

Entrusting "flexibility" is also very important to gain a fast track programme, regular worships should be held which may help in improving the peoples commutation and  interpersonal skills, integrity ,to get off their hesitance, they should be taught to learn through the process and  to leverage strengths and networks.

Many countries in the world like Denmark, Switzerland, India, USA etc have accepted working in the multi cultural environment but certain drawbacks are still to b covered and corrected, like in India we have a

huge bias among LGBT(lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender),thou  Indians  acknowledges the  benefits of a diversified workforce but many like LGBT  still do not. This can be improvised by

including LGBT candidates in their corporate agenda, also by gaining d perception of workplace diversity and formulating sensitization policies work environment can be made more friendly.

Linguistic barriers can be removed by Training centre facilitating  its trainees with an option of choosing a second language, which could be their native language. Trainees may not be well-versed with English but with other languages like Hindi or Arabic, etc. Therefore, trainee should have an option of learning in their own language too. It is certain, that if they were tested in their native language, they could do equally well .Stress management should also be properly seen.
