My mission for opening this store is:

To provide my customers with a well-designed quality and cost effective items to fulfill their needs and wants.

To have a strong working relationship with my coworkers.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

As a retailer my goal would be providing the right product at the right place, to the right people at the right time.

My objective of this store would be to assess whether we are fulfilling my customers expectations or not.

As I have set these goals and objectives with this I ensure my customers to work on it and to provide better quality of food.

BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY

As I am opening a retail store in Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar (main city) so my philosophy would be to serve the customers. Therefore, from the opening day of the store merchandise should be purchased according to the customers want rather than with the force of retailer. Here I as a retailer sell its product to the customer, he himself assumes him to be a greater probability of success.

DISCRIBE YOUR INDUSTRY AND TYPE OF RETAIL AND ITS PRODUCTS.

I am opening a retail store of non-veg food in Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar. According to my point of view if I am opening a non-veg store as it would be beneficial for me and as well as to the customers, because the people of Arunachal are fond of eating non-veg in their daily meals. Their main food is rice and non-veg food.

This store is a specialty store because I am focusing on the particular item only non-veg food. So when we produce our product only in one direction this is known as specialty stores.

The major products of my retail store are:

-mutton cauliflower - egg pakora

- chicken curry - kina mutter

MARKETING PLAN

TOTAL SIZE OF THE MARKET

If we talk about the size of the market it would be around 30,000 people living in this main city , itanagar presently. But other then this the total size of the market is not same it depends upon the household structure, labour force profiles and development of a particular area. It does not remain same it changes time to time.

WHAT % SHARE OF THE MARKET WILL YOU HAVE?

I would be targeting almost all the areas of itanagar, as it a main city most of the people of Arunachal Pradesh are living there. the most important thing that it would be opening a non-veg food store. As people of Arunachal Pradesh are fond of eating Non-veg . So every person will buy it. So the market share of my retail store would definitely increase automatically and its percentage would automatically increase.

POSITIONING STRATEGY

My positioning strategy would be Quality food, Low cost, providing customer's service. I would be maintaining this much standard that people would not be hesitated in paying the amount. If the product is low cost, quality based so obviously they would pay the amount happily just because they are satisfied with the product they are receiving and the amount they are paying for it. The first rule of positioning strategy is to satisfy the customer then automatically the position would make an image in the minds of the people.

THE CURRENT DEMAND IS HIGH PRESENTLY. I would be targeting almost all the people living in itanagar. In this, mostly population is situated so I would be keeping the price of the items nominal just because to retain the customers for the long term. Today I am opening my store not just to earn a short term profit but to retain my business for long term. As the people of arunachal Pradesh are having low income level as they are having their agriculture as their main source so it fluctuates.

TRENDS IN TARGET MARKET

In this I have to keep in mind what are my present sales in the market is it increasing or decreasing, will it work in the future or not. I would be doing future prediction because I have not opened my store for some days; I have to run my business for long term duration. I also have to make changes side by side whatever may be required time to time. I have to see the people those who are changing their style of eating from traditional to modern what should be convenient for them. What they like and what they do not like. Are their health affected by the changing in style of food, what are their requirements, how their requirements are to be fulfilled.

WHAT IS THE ENTRY BARRIERS DO YOU FACE IN ENTERING THIS MARKET WITH YOUR NEW COMPANY?

The entry barriers are made by the govt. of each state just for the benefit of the people so that the monopoly in the market may not occur otherwise the people will be the worst suffers. Some of the entry barriers that I would be facing are:

Patents

If I want to open a retail store then I have to patent my name of the store , so that in the near futre no one can say that I have launched this name of the store earlier so I am not going to change it in the future.so this legal protection is very helpful in safeguarding the name of the retail store

Advertising and marketing

Developing consumer loyalty by establishing branded products can make successful entry into the market. Because there are some case in which people buy the products by watching the brand name , logo, style of packaging etc.

Cost advantages

Lower costs, perhaps through experience of being in the market for some time, allows the existing monopolist to cut prices and win price wars. As I would be new in the market so at the earliar stage I would be selling my products at a low cost to stop the monopoly in the market.

International trade restrictions

Trade restrictions such as tariffs and quotas should also be considered as a barrier to the entry of international competition in protected domestic markets.

HOW COULD THE FOLLOWING AFFECT THE COMPANY?

This would affect my store at each and every part. Because I am opening my store in the main capital of itanagar so I have to follow the rules and regulations of the government of Arunachal Pradesh. Every state has its own rules and regulations so who's so ever opens a retail shop in the main market has to fulfill the requirements of the government. The Government sometimes changes its rules and regulations so I have to follow it.

This would affect me in the aspect of change in technology I cannot work with the old technology may be it woud have the adverse effect on the quality of product.

PROMOTIONAL STRATEGYArranging for the product to occupy a clear, distinct and desirable place relative to competing products in the minds of the target customer. As I am the retailer of the store I can ask about their demands and then improvement that are to be made in products. I will be focusing on the pure and fresh food in order to create a distinct and clear position in the minds of the customers. I would be trying to maintain the brand name because sometimes people by the items by having a popularity in the market.

Examples of our work

Itanagar is situated at the foothills of himalays. I have opened my store in papum pare main city.which actually comes under administrative area. It is well connected with the road and air communication. So people from far away can also visit my store and have a delicious food. It is a good factor to open a retail store in the main city that every person that every person would at least try once and if they like the food then they will prefer it next time and become the regular and permanent customer whether they belong to that city ,near by or far away from the retail store.

LAYOUT

This type of store would be a grid layout which would be convenient for the customers to fetch the products out of the store. In this the main items are displayed on the front of the retail store.

SUPPLIERS

The raw material required for the store is arranged from the big store of the main cities also from different states like Assam, Mizoram, and Nagaland etc.

CREDIT POLICY

In this type of store there would be no credit policy because this type of business is hand to mouth, which means whatever they earned of the day, the next day they would buy the raw material and would keep some of the profits. But yes sometimes it happens that less amount of money is kept but that too is recovered on the next day.

STORE MANGEMENT

In this the store manager has to assign the roles and responsibilities to his employee, division of equal work and responsibility among the coworkers. In this the position of all the raw material placed in a store how they are maintained.

In my store I would be keeping in symmetry so that the it would be easy for the coworkers to catch up with the products conveniently and easily approachable. The inventory should not be over not less as it will then create biasness which is to use or which to not. All the chickens are hanged above, and rest of the material is inside with safety and security.

MERCHANDISING MANAGEMENT

In this we will see that how we manage our merchandise or products. How we keep them according to the need and according to their durability of the product. And also how to make them use in the better way without wasting any of them.

DAILY OPERATIONS

In this we see the daily work which to be performed by the coworkers in the store. The coworkers have to work according to the duties and responsibilities assigned to them in the proper way. They work in the store by doing the complete process of the manufacturing of the product. At the end of the day the money that they had earned per day is being kept under the executive and they are being equally distributed among the employees.

FINANCIAL PLAN

For opening of a retail store I would be investing my own capital first that I have earlier collected. Then I would be taking help from my family and friends to collect that much amount required. Then I would be taking loans from the banks or the financial institutions in which I have been having an account for a long time. I would prefer the loans from the banks in the last because I have to give the money in return back to the bank within the specific time period with a huge rate of interest.
