This essay has been submitted by a student. This is not an example of the work written by our professional essay writers.

A question which is revolving in mind since I have taken commerce as my stream in class XIth standard is that why I selected this as my coursework. The basic answer to this is I want to explore the environment. The question which stuck to mind that why not I selected science as stream at my early age I am having interest to serve people and serve the society as it is noble profession . I am still confused and start taking care off now what job I will get after completing my PGDBM course. Insecurity about future is there is no surety for job as there are many aspirants available for single job but I make myself calm by saying that I will move further and learn from new things. My hard work , skills, creativity and my cards will take me somewhere.

Journey of precious life has started when I entered in this world after fighting with thousands of sperms and finally come in worlds of wonder.

Way of life start becoming from first day only but I remember the actual journey of life started when I was five years old. Competition level can be first seen from there when for first time I gave interview without having my parents with me for admission in higher school for studies. The situation is real tough as result are not declared on spot they kept held and finally they are out on second day . I was selected in the interview and I have to join classes from April, 1995.

During the precious journey of world I have gone through different situations as per need and requirement from that job . No one is here with perfection everyone has some traits and weaknesses which cannot be expressed sometimes and one can able to learn only when he receives something and loose something because of their situation.

They try to improve their situation by keeping in mind its results and do work in better manner if they face same or similar problem.

During the phase of 2006-07 I am not able to concentrate on studies because of getting engaged in activities and I passed class X. Now crucial stage of selecting stream came up with me too I am not able to take stream of my want in my current school but I have took stream of my choice in other school .

This was the crucial stage of life when I just separated from my friends and sudden fall in the studies is seen . I passed all the exams and cleared class XII with decent marks . Now the event of taking admission in reputed college come after completing XII. To get reputed college I have joined coaching classes for Bachelor of Business Studies(BBS),Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA).

I got selected for both the exams. BBS is affiliated through Delhi University(DU) where as BBA is affiliated through Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University(GGSIPU) but I fail to clear Group Discussion round at DU and finally I get counselled in first go in GGSIPU and I get admission in Information Institute of Technology and Management(IITM) affiliated through GGSIPU.

The era of my studies has started now as interest in studies get generated and I started taking initiatives to do different task. Main focus at graduation level is to focus on studies and weak area in which I am lacking behind from others.

In first year of my graduation I studied hard, scores well; second year shows little downfall in studies because of one subject but problem is dissolved in later half and in final year I worked by keeping in mind my ability to do task . Final year was great and I did my graduation complete in 2012 by scoring 70% as per consolidated mark sheet.

Real situation of life come forward to me after completing my graduation as I step out in the real market for search of job but my I uncle kept me placed in one of his known company as trainee but no pay after completing job.

The task was really good which I was assigned as I have to work there as junior human resource(HR) executive and have to do research work for company by studying it from various resources. I done my job up to my mark by gaining experience to how to study people behaviour and maintain proper research data.

The report deals with my personal reflection statement. It tells what I have learned from organisational behaviour as my module during my coursework and tells how I relate organisational behaviour concept with myself. The report will tell me whether I relate the topics accordingly and it will help me to gain knowledge.

Later joined GD Goenka World Institute which is affiliated through Lancaster University ,United Kingdom for Post Graduation Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) to start exploring the new world and environment. The time for new life begin as I start becoming extrovert as now I am participating more in extracurricular activates, name come in junior Student Council, Participating in work of NGO's, arranging guest lectures ,join photography club to explore the skills and along with this currently doing the volunteering for Student Development Council.

SELF REFLECTION

The module Organisational Behaviour (OB) has plays a crucial a role in my life as it help me to understand different concepts in a new way and help to improve my thinking and skills by applying the concepts in efficient manner.

Myself reflection on organisational behaviour concepts is as follows.

"The world is a looking glass and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face" (William M. Thackeray, 2010)

With this quote said by Thackeray , I will now move forward with myself reflection statement which is as follows

Decision Making(DM)

As per learning's on decision making in lectures . The lectures have helped me lot to understand the concept of decision making in elaborate way so that one can apply this in real life application too instead of doing only theory work. Decision making involves the following steps:-

Identifying the problem

Finding alternatives

Evaluating the alternatives

Identifying the alternatives

Implementing the alternatives

Findings from decision making are as follows:

Reduce risk of taking wrong decision

Best decision is taken at end by keeping in mind all alternatives

For example During my graduation time I take very crucial decision of my life to opt for the Rexam to improve my percentage by keeping in mind all the best alternatives . The final result of this decision is that I improved in exams from good margin.

Decision can be made effective in following ways :

Decision should be unbiased and it should be taken without considering anything

A person should have knowledge related to topic and it should be appropriate

Presumptions are not allowed in decision making process

Conclusion: Before having knowledge of this some of decisions are taken by me in hurry went right and in certain circumstances I have to see failure. With the help of this module today I can able to understand what is meaning of decision making and how to effective decision in situations.

Goal

To achieve effective goals in a significant manner one has to follow following steps:-

Preparation: The actual preparation of becoming the good entrepreneur is started when I enter in this beautiful world and it took fire when I face the first interview . Later it move as I decided to take commerce as my stream and stick on it after going through tough competition too.

Organisation Entry: The first organisation which I entered for first time is during my internship programme of BBA is Karbonn Mobiles where I get through with an interview and work as Human Resource executive over there to gain experience.

Early Career: Early career of life will begin when I passed out from PGDBM programme and I am looking for job in a reputed firm which has business related to Textile manufacturing so that I can able to apply skills there as I have sound knowledge of clothes and flourish the business of that industry.

Middle Career: As I joined the early career with textiles field now I will put my helping hands in my business as now I have experience of different clothes and studied the different market with different consumers now it is time to flourish the new ideas in business and take it further.

Late Career : For the late career I will remain in my business and open some side business along with it as god knows only what will happen further. I invest my money in stocks and gold to make my future bright.

PERSONALITY

Personality word can be described in manner that it helps in showing the individual behaviour to the external environment. Personality is something which show/ brings attitude in oneself so that he can able to gain attention of others towards him. It helps to enhance the skills and grooming style of an individual.

The attitude of an individual varies . My personality generally resembles like in following manner I am having shy nature, hard working, take time to opened up with new people but task oriented . In task period become excited and sometimes this led me to fall . I can't see other things during span of my task and not able to handle multiple task.

During my PGDBM course I have given a task to talk as Mr. Sharma well known personality as I know little about him I got tensed and messed up .

To get better access to my personality, I took personality test , the results shows that I am Introvert(44%), Sensing(1%), Feeling(75%) and Perceiving(44%).

Further Inference

Moderate preference of introversion over extroversion

Marginal or no preference of sensing over intuition

Distinctive preference of feeling over thinking

Moderate preference of perceiving over judging

The inference basically talks about the moderate preference of introversion over extroversion as I take time to open up with new people, Marginal or no preference of sensing over intuition, Inference showing that I give more preference to feelings instead of thinking on situation and I give more emphasis on perceiving the things rather than judging the situation time .

TEAM WORK

Team work is an art where people work together and coordinate their actions to achieve a particular objective the team has in mind. It teaches people to how to cooperate and work in harmony. The recent trend encourages team work because that way all the members are given equal importance and they feel important. A problem can be solved efficiently in a group as that way a lot of new ideas and solutions are generated. The tasks can be accomplished faster and the members of the team bond with each other. Team work creates healthy competition that motivates the members to work hard and excel. Also doing a task alone is time consuming. The skills of all the members of a team can be put together to best the possible use and thus increase productivity. The quality of teamwork may be measured by analyzing the following six components of collaboration among team members: communication, coordination, balance of member contributions, mutual support, effort, and cohesion.

As my own experience, I would like to share that initially when all of us were put together in a group for a particular assignment, there was hesitation and lack of communication due to discomfort but as the days passed by, the members of our team interacted and became close. Sometimes I felt that all the workload was on me while the other people didn't contribute. Then we decided to conduct a meeting to distribute the work equally so that everyone gets a fair chance .During the process of completing our task, all of us had healthy discussions and the output was successfully achieved.

The quality of leadership can be attained in a person who is more ambitious and goal oriented. A leader can help the organisation to improve and move further as goal oriented person will take it long because of this company will able to achieve common target in given span of time.

When I was in standard ninth I was given an opportunity to lead the group of my friends to the tour to Mount Abu as I have more information of place with me and for this I was recognised in assembly by principal.

In order to check the leadership quality in me I have took the test and result of test is as follows

Description of your test score:

The Quizmoz leadership test score indicates that you strike a good balance between inspiring others and being inspired. You know how to lead but also know how to be led. You have the ability to motivate others but also have the sense to understand when you need to be motivated by what the other person is saying. You are a good leader but have the potential to be a great one. You have to realize your latent leadership qualities. Be confident, be responsible, be a people's person, be a leader. Learn to take things in your stride and improvise on what you have. If you have a good team; take all that it has to offer, but, if you don't have a good team, learn to work with what you have, and that is your own talent. Be goal-oriented and determined to achieve the target. What you must always remember is that leadership is more of a function of showing the way rather than being just a fancy title or position. You must develop the knack for handling people and also for diplomacy. Say what you want to say but say it in the way in which others want to hear it. Be a fair player and include others in your success and when taking credit for something that your team has accomplished. You have the sense for being a leader, develop the sensibility and see yourself become the kind of person people want to follow.

Motivation

Motivation is basically the process that accounts for an individual's willingness and drive to achieve a particular goal. It involves the path he and the continuous efforts that the person makes. Motivation helps an individual to groom himself by increasing his abilities to perform and instilling confidence in him. The work of one successful person in an organization sets a benchmark for all the other employees.

Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs is the most well-known theory of motivation. It highlights the five basic needs of an individual described as follows:-

Physiological: Includes air, water, food and other bodily needs.

Safety: Includes security and protection from physical and emotional harm.

Social: Includes affection, belongingness, acceptance, and friendship.

Esteem: Includes internal esteem factors such as self-respect, autonomy, and achievement; and external esteem factors such as status, recognition, and attention.

Self-actualization: The drive to become what one is capable of becoming; includes growth, achieving one's potential, and self-fulfilment.

Our parents or elder siblings are often a source of motivation. The efforts they have put in to become what they are now is simply outstanding. Through this person emerges out to be a true leader getting to know his/her weakness and strength that further motivates him to improve his performance and be the best. A person without any motivation is a person without any knowledge because it counts for the optimistic attitude a person holds while achieving something in life.

OBJECTIVES FOR NEXT YEAR

"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success." (Vivekananda)

As Its half of the academic year is on its ending point. Now time came to make the objectives by keeping in view the situation only and objectives which are to be set can be achievable in that time period. The goals should be set in a manner for future in a way that we can start working on them from day one only.

Next one and half year plan should be specific and they can be measurable easily through means. The objectives set to be look like: improve negotiation skills, leadership quality, team work etc.

Team Work: Team work is basically working of group of people on similar task having common objective which they have to achieve. In an organisation no individual can perform their task alone therefore the work is decentralised according the authority division. Team work is set as the short term objective because work is to be divided into parts and one must have knowledge about his topic. It is good to work in team for that I have to study people first.

2. Personality test (Jung Typology test)

According to Carl Jung's typology, all people can be characterized using the following three criteria:

Extraversion - Introversion

Sensing - Intuition

Thinking - Feeling

Isabel Briggs Myers added a fourth criterion:

Judging - Perceiving

These four criteria are called "dichotomies" since each of them represent a continuum between two opposite poles.

The first criterion, Extraversion - Introversion, signifies the source and direction of a person's energy expression. An extravert's source and direction of energy expression is mainly in the external world, while an introvert has a source of energy mainly in their own internal world.

The second criterion, Sensing - Intuition, represents the method by which someone perceives information. Sensing means that a person mainly believes information he or she receives directly from the external world. Intuition means that a person believes mainly information he or she receives from the internal or imaginative world.

The third criterion, Thinking - Feeling, represents how a person processes information. Thinking means that a person makes a decision mainly through logic. Feeling means that, as a rule, he or she makes a decision based on emotion, i.e. based on what they feel they should do.

The fourth criterion, Judging - Perceiving, reflects how a person implements the information he or she has processed. Judging means that a person organizes all of his life events and, as a rule, sticks to his plans. Perceiving means that he or she is inclined to improvise and explore alternative options.

The different possible combinations of preferences determine sixteen personality types. Each type can be assigned an acronym (or formula) according to the first letters of the combination of the preferences in each of the four criteria. For example:

ISTJ - Introvert Sensing Thinking Judging

Or:

ENFP - Extravert iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving

Human metrics' Jung Typology Testâ„¢ determines an individual's personality type and scores the expressiveness of preferences in each of the Jung's and Briggs Myers' dichotomies. The scales of dichotomies represent a continuum between two opposite poles, from 100 at one pole to 100 at the opposite pole. I.e. the Extravert-Introvert dimension is a continuum from 100 on Extraversion (i.e. a respondent is 100% extravert) to 100 on Introversion (i.e. a respondent is 100% introvert). In other words, the scale is 200 units long:

Extravert [100% - - - 0% - - - 100%] Introvert

Most individuals possess features of both poles but typically have a preference of one way over the other. The letter indicates the direction of the preference and the percentage indicates the strength of the preference toward one pole over the other.

The E-I score of 0% means the respondent is on the borderline between being an extravert and an introvert. Having an Extraversion score of greater than 0 - e.g. 20% - means being 20% more slanted toward Extraversion over Introversion. Having an Introversion score of greater than 0 - e.g. 20% - means being 20% more slanted toward Introversion over Extraversion.

The same pertains to the S-N, T-F, and J-P dichotomies.

By taking the Jung Typology Testâ„¢, you will discover your type formula along with a quantitative measure of each of the 4 criteria (the strengths of preferences). Once you get your type formula and the strengths of preferences, you can:

Learn about your personality type by reading your type description. This may help you identify your life style in general, as well as your natural style with respect to specific areas such as business, love, education, communication, and conflict.
