Business ethics is a form of applied ethics and professional ethics that examines ethical principles and moral principles. It applies to all places, whether it is at home, the environment, or the workplace. Applied ethics is a field of ethics that deals with questions about your morals and about what is right in certain fields such as the medical field, technology field, legal field and the business field. Ethics is doing the right thing no matter where you are and following the rules. In the modern days, ethical procedures are divided by consequential procedures. Consequentialism is the belief that the consequences of any action are the basis judgment about that action. From a consequentiality standpoint, an action that is morally right will result in a positive outcome or consequence. Deontology, however, is the approach at which ethics is determined by goodness of the act rather than by the consequentiality point of ethics. Business ethics can be both normative and a descriptive discipline. The field is most commonly referred to as primarily normative. Historically, interest in business ethics took a big increase during the 1980's and 1990's.

Human Resource Management occupies the activities of recruitment, selection, and orientation, where ethics really matter. Human resource ethics is where you know the right thing to do in the environment. For instance there is no ethics if you are littering in the area around you and you certainly aren't practicing good ethics in the environment. To practice good ethics where ever you are, you must know the rules. An example of this would be to pick up trash and throw it away if you see some on the floor, because it is the right thing to do and it will help the environment. Thus, whatever you do to the environment is directly related to what you get in return. If you decide to practice poor environmental ethics then the environment in return will be polluted and harmful to our health.

Ethics in general is following the rules. Everybody should practice good ethics no matter where they are. If ethics are not followed then the work are or place that you are will be a worse place for the people that are there. It is good to practice good business ethics because if you do then the business area will be nicer and the people will be nicer. Then the computers and technology might be taken bad care of and lose its value or be damaged. If you decide to use poor business ethics maybe the computer you work at will be damaged, wet, corrupted, or even hacked into. This will be directly related to the fact of poor ethics. On the other hand, if you exercise good ethics then your computer will be kept clean and your computer won't be hacked into. This will make the workplace better to work in and the computer and technology around you won't get damaged or corrupted. If there were bad ethics the computer can get hacked into and steal all of the information contained on that computer and could cause your company lots of money and possibly steal everything that was supposed to be confidential.

If there is one thing you should demonstrate it would be good ethics. This is a good all around thing that people need to have. Irrespective of the demands and pressures upon it, business by virtue of its existence is bound to be ethical for at least two reasons: one, because whatever the business does affects its stakeholders and two, because every juncture of action has trajectories of ethical as well as unethical paths wherein the existence of the business is justified by ethical alternatives it responsibly chooses.

Another reason why you don't want to act in bad ethics is because you can get yourself into a lot of trouble. If you were at your office and you acted out in bad ethics you might say something discriminatory to your coworker, you may be charged with discrimination against one of your coworkers and can be in a lot of trouble.

Ethics of production is the area of business ethics where it deals with the roles the companies do to make sure that the production of the products do not cause any harm to anyone or anything. There is one factor that contributes to this and that's the fact that there is always some risk or harm in the machines and the way the products are produced in the factories. There is always some danger in making these products and that's one of the reasons this section of ethics must be assured.

Ethics on technology is also very significant in the fact that the computers or the technology that's being used are easy for some people to break into and steal your information. Many problems have risen from this because some people may hack into the company's business and steal everything that may be important to that business or corporation. All of this stuff may lead to data mining, workplace monitoring, and privacy invasion.

Normative ethics is another branch of ethics in which the actions are right or wrong. The acts of whether they are right or wrong is not only justified by whether it is right or wrong but mainly justified by the moral status.

In the modern era of ethics, the two main ethics theories are based on the principles of consequentialists and deontologists. The consequentialist theory refers to moral beliefs that basically state that "the ends justify the means." In deontological ethics, the acts are determined to be either right or wrong based on the actual acts themselves rather than looking at the consequences of the acts such as in consequentialism. Military ethics is a set of practices and philosophy to guide members of the armed forces to act in a manner consistent with the values and standards as established by military tradition.

These are all branches of ethics that need to be followed and what the ethics is all about.
