Educating employees is the best way to have a successful business. And for a successful business you need a team that is loyal trustworthy so in order to have such team you need to educate employees and this is the best investments and it's just like reinvesting in a stock that gives you a great dividend and a long term advantage. Yes there might be a chance that it goes up or goes down but the end reward is loyal workforce that is committed to improve themselves and the business. If employees are available then the best thing is that the organization does not need to stay for the best changes all by themselves. By offering the education, workforce can be recruited and could be helped to grow business and continue to succeed, even if there is a changing environment. But not investing in education will stop you from success and will leave far behind.

With better education not only workforce will be able to do better job rather business will also be in benefit and employees would be more engaged and greater level of employee loyalty would be given to the work. The individual development of employees is very important than anyone can think because it creates a company full of specialists whose talents are matched with one another. Even by building an improved culture, an increase in engagement and loyalty will be seen in the current customers and more new employees would be hired.

Overall training and individual improvement is a great key to success. A strong commitment to company means a commitment to yourself and education.

Background of Education:

History of education, different theories and administration of different schools are present from ancient times. Education was developed from human fight to live and enlightenment. It can be formal or informal. In formal education, it was referred to the general societal development in which human beings attain the knowledge and abilities that were needed to function in their culture. Whereas formal education was referred to the practice in which teachers instruct their students in the courses inside the institutions.

Importance of the study with respect to the world:

As the world is changing extremely fast with the addition of new technologies and thus result the replacement of old-style work methods by new styles of job and new practices of working which call of with different combination of abilities. In this growing world of uncertainty many mangers had become aware of the need for the businesses to hunt for new answers to problems of efficiency and quality. Talents of employees are essential to the success of a business. Both business and workers have a collective interest in increasing ability levels. A nonstop formal education and growth are extremely important so that every single has the awareness and skills required to meet the changes of the business needs.

Importance of study with respect to Pakistan:

According to the studies of Pakistan, it has been confirmed that productivity benefits of education are large as one extra year of education can upturn the productivity in wage employment by 10% even after adjusting for other factors. It has been shown that in Pakistan with a higher literacy level in districts have higher levels of development.

One of the important factors for Pakistan's low educational prestige is that Pakistan's educational system is split and segmented and hence has created some problems in the optimum use of human resources under the given industry condition.

Research Question

What are the effects of the education of employees on the success of an organization?


Salah, Mehrdad and Mehdi (2009-2010) conducted a research to find that how the physical education of an organization affects the motivational factors of employees. The objective of this research was to identify the most important motivational factors for the employees in various physical education organizations to determine the rate of the effectiveness of organizational component. The research done was both descriptive and exploratory. For carrying out the research, the data of physical education was collected from 21 offices of Isfahan. The statistical population included 412 employees of physical education organizations, 114 experts of physical education organizations were selected from which 30 experts were sampled and selected through the classified random method. To collect the data in the best possible way, researcher chose an appropriate measurement tool which includes questionnaires. The questionnaire was based on research literature, research objectives and demographic Characteristic. And later these samples were used to test the hypothesis. The content validity of the Questionnaires was judged by experts, advisors and analysts. The results showed that factors related to motivations were the most significant by the mean. The test confirmed the relationship between the factors of motivational and belongingness aspects and interest in organization.

William R. Bowman, Stephen L. Mehay (1998) studied the influence of graduate education on job performance by using a unique micro-database. The aim of this research was to examine the relationship between on job efficiency and graduate education by using single-firm data. The set of data which has been used to carry out research are detailed information on promotion outcomes, performance ratings by supervisors, and numerous background characteristics such as academic achievement and early career performance in the organization. The main advantage of this data set was that in exploring worker productivity, the organization's internal labor market is characterized by a vertical hierarchy with a well-defined personnel system. The method used for this research was the performance measure for the evaluation which means the supervisor ratings and promotion probabilities. The result showed that who receives a Navy degree would be effected and the relationship between graduate education and promotion was due to invisible features that lead some people to attend graduate school and to be more promotable. And it has also shown that the estimation of the promotion effect was decreased by little percentage.

C.A. Decker (1999) conducted a research to investigate the effects on employee self-efficacy of computer technologies bringing about from computer training programs that were anticipated to meet individual and organization objectives. To determine the self-efficacious and the usefulness of technical education, an assessment of employee computer technology self-efficacy was very essential. Basically the purpose of this research was to transfer the training influenced on self-efficacy of computer technologies following to the training and self-efficacy time for training effectiveness. The specific research objectives were to determine difference in self-efficacy of computer technology among employees with regard to time, home computer use, the training of earlier computer classroom, the use of computer required on the job, training responsibilities, and rate of computer use and communication in self-efficacy of computer technology among employees with regard to time, home use, prior computer classroom training, computer usage required on the job, training responsibilities, and rate of computer use. The method used to conduct this survey was the descriptive survey which was designed for gathering data from a population of 2597 employees of university. The results which were indicated from this research were that employee computer technology self-efficacy levels remained unstable for 2.5 years.

Esteban Ferndndez-Juricic (2006) conducted a research bring local and regional educational perspective together to enhance the success of conversation programs. This research has been focused on local states thought local approaches lack the capacity to cope with conservation problems. The method used by the researcher was the educational model to foster local educational initiatives supported by regional perspectives. The results showed that actions were not taken at local and regional scales but also between local and regional people from the interaction and this model also had a broad application to many management and conservation problems.

Ali Akbar Behbahani (2011) conducted a research to evaluate individuals' emotions which means that intelligence use of emotions and how one uses them to enhance his/her behavior and thoughts in order to achieve goals. The aim of this study was to look at the link between emotive intelligence and management abilities. The method used to collect this data was the Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire consisting of 33 questions and this research was done on 160 managers and the employees of physical education departments and this research was conducted in Shahr-e-Rey, Iran. After the research the result indicated that there was a major relationship between emotional intelligence and its components such as self-awareness and self-regulation, motivation and empathy, social skills and the employees' capabilities. Emotional intelligence was counted as an important feature in developing the skills of the employees at organizations and departments of physical education.

Seied H.Mousavi, Saeed Yar Mohamadi Monfared, Akbar Heidary (2011) conducted a research to know the productivity and quality of working life that are considered the main driving force for corporate performance. The basic purpose of this research was to consider working life quality and its relationship with productivity of physical education office employees but the main issue of this study was to understand whether there was a relation between working life quality with productivity among physical Education. The method used for this research was descriptive and data was collected through questionnaires consisting of 53 questions which were done in Zanjan province. For finding the relationship relation between working life and employees 's productivity and the relation between employees 's age, education and service record with their productivity and finally, modified relation between working life and employees' productivity with variables of age, education and service record has been studied through detailed correlation test. The effects indicated that there was an important relation between all factors of working life equality and staff's productivity with variables of age, education and service record.

Prodromos D. Chatzoglou et al (2009) conducted a research on web based training which was one of the most pervasive means for productivity and job performance enhancement in the work environment. The objective of this research was to make use of web based training to employees by extending the technology acceptance model using some other related factors, such as learning goal orientation, management support, and enjoyment, self-efficacy and computer anxiety. 287 seven employees participated in this research to test the validity of the research model. The outcome from this research was that enjoyment; perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use directly affect employees' intention to use web-based training, while learning goal orientation has the strongest indirect impact on employees' intention.


Research type

The research type is qualitative and quantitative in nature. The core aim of the qualitative research is to find out the effects of education of employees on the success of an organization whereas the aim of the quantitative research is to build the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable. The study will be based on questionnaire related to the subject area which is education of employees in Pakistan. The aim of qualitative research is to privilege participants' perspectives, evidence of the involvement of participants, not only in sharing their views with researchers but in the analysis and interpretation of their responses. Study setting of the research will be neutral.

Data type and research period

The data used for the research will be both primary and secondary data. For primary data questionnaire will be conducted and for secondary data it will be collected from various sources mainly literature that is available over the net. The sample size of questionnaire will be 60. The time frame of this research is for November 2012 to April 2013.

Sources of data

In order to collect the data different source were consulted. Most journal articles are taken from science direct, jstor and emerald.

Population and planned sample

The population is the area that is going to be focused in the research which is Lahore whereas sample size will be few organizations with in Lahore.

Research hypothesis

Ho: There is significance relationship between the education of employees and the success of an organization

H1: There is no significant relationship between the education of employees and the success of an organization.

Ho: with the increase in web based training, success of an organization increases.

H1: with the increase in web based training, success of an organization does not increase.

Ho: with the increase in number of service record, success of an organization increases.

H1: with the increase in number of service record, success of an organization does not increase.

Ho: with the increase in academic achievements, success of an organization increases.

H1: with the increase in academic achievements, success of an organization does not increase.

Ho: with the increase in physical education, success of an organization increases.

H1: with the increase in physical education, success of an organization does not increase.


After gathering the data cross tab will be conducted. The data on the sample size will be analyzed after finding that to what extend the variable is significant with the independent variable.

Data analysis

SPSS will be used to analyze the data.

Data interpretation

The results generated from the statistical software will be compiled and then those results will be used to find out the effects over the period.
