In this essay I will be analysing the validity of the following statement "The Entrepreneur is dead, long live the Infopreneur."
What is it REALLY meant by the term entrepreneur/Entrepreneurship?
According to Oxford English Dictionary the terminology entrepreneur is outlined as "individual who sets up a business or businesses". An entrepreneur is an individual who brings new idea, venture, enterprise and considers significant responsibility for the outcome and fundamental risks. Entrepreneurship is the art of innovation and the attitude and quality of taking risk in order to make profit in business.
Infopreneur is an individual whose primary business is to collect and sell electronic informations. Infopreneur is a entrepreneur who profits through the process of selling information online.
In the current & future market infopreneur seems to be more in trend compared to entrepreneur. The main reason for this is the development of the technology.
From the beginning of the history, several economists from different backgrounds argued to theorize the definition of this concept, until the 18th century a french economist named Richard Cantillon used it as an economic term describing "a person who pays a certain price for a product to resell it at an uncertain price, thereby making decisions about obtaining and using the resources while consequently admitting the risk of enterprise." which is probably closer to the term as applied today. The following definition was later extended by others by including the concept of having the factors of production.

In 1976 British economist Adam Smith described in few words the concept of entrepreneurship, as "entrepreneurs were the economic agents who transformed demand into supply for profits".

For example, Knight, Mises claims any person who has a talent to maintain the risk of losses can be called an entrepreneur under this narrow-definition of the entrepreneur as the risk taker (Swoboda, 1983). Hence, is important to view at some more aspects that support to clerify why some
individuals are entrepreneurs; risk possibly be a factor, however it is not the only one.
An entrepreneur takes risk with his own money (being the owner) and helps himself while creating opportunities for others, he will get the reward in the shape of financial profit and other rewards business may generate. Although the age, background or even previous expertise are not essential but an entrepreneur must be passionate about the products and services.
Entrepreneurs can be distinguished to sports person . similar to sport person, entrepreneurs have to be enthusiastic about their business.
While they feel dedicated to what they are performing with a great care, they have highest chance at being successful.

Intrapreneurs, embody the same mannerism as the Entrepreneur, passions , ambition and confidence. The more
conviction, passion, and drive. The more he or she expresses himself, the more the company is forced to confront its own effectiveness. if the organization supportive, he/she succeeds, when is not , he/she likely fails or leaves and start own company.
One of the best example: the founders of Adobe, John Warnock and Charles Geschke. Both worked for the company called Xerox, while their concept were not supported. As both left the company to start their own venture, in 2010 Adobe had revenue of about 3 billion.
An intrapreneur fits into a place of improvement, an ability to take risk and creativeness. They have the ability to take risk and to identify failure as a learning point. An intrapreneur thinks as an entrepreneur looking out for prospects, which profit the company. For example Robbie Bach, J Allard and team's XBOX might not have been possible without the Microsoft's money and supports. The plan required 100s of millions and quality talent to make the product.
Infopreneur is an individual who earns from their passion. They collects and sells informatical products such as e-book, on line coursses or they They might own a website or blog and write a specific subject that benefits their viewers through on line mediums. In exchange, they earn from the traffic through online ad programs like Google Adsense or with use of other affiliate programs.
Infopreneur develops a complete new trend of business known as virtual business. In the ordinary business the tasks are handled by people, whereas in virtual the entire business reside inside the computers and networks and handled by programs. Most important of all is that , computers is capable of converting any transmitted analogue information such as videos, pictures, books, sounds, etc. into digital medium, where is transmitted to any individuals anywhere in the world over the internet.

Although is right to say that Internet factor is highly affecting every business in every industry, its major effect its on information field such as entertainment (music, films), books, education, news, magazines, etc.

As e-book content continues to grow i see significant growth in the market. Author would enjoy this kind of success in offline business.

Even-though it would be unacceptable to state that the entrepreneurship is dead but we are aware that infopreneurship is the way without doubt the direction and the focus of the future economy and future generation. There are strong evidence for the success of the online trading & promoting the business through internet. The most successful businesses such as Ebay, Google and Yahoo proofs the success of making profit through internet business. There are many other large companies such as Microsoft, Airline and banks who has successfully promoted their business through internet. Biggest question that raised in my mind about infopreneurship is that, how & is it possible for the businesses that trade in a traditional form & service their local community to benefit from infopreneurship?. Researches & successful stories enabled me to understand the fact that it is possible for traditional trading businesses to also benefit through internet. These businesses can identify their target audiences & obtain a marketplace. Internet can be used to add value to their products & enable all the local community to be aware of the service & products available. Through the internet products & services can be given to more than one community easily & quickly.
