In this part of the project, we have to do a background research of the organization chosen by us earlier. For this organization, we have to find two jobs which are similar to the ones we have worked on in part 1 of this project. For these two jobs, we have to develop the recruitment strategy, by doing a yield ratio analysis.

For these jobs, we have to develop job descriptions featuring all the essential sections and then we have to design an advertisement campaign for it, using AIDA principles. After that we have to draft a formal application form for the applicants and then prepare a document for pre-screening criteria, also enlisting the strategy for reference check and validity. Once that is done, we have to develop a complete structured interview document, which has all the relevant questions, scaled possible answers and also the benchmarked answer for each of the question. We have to mention a basis of comparison of different applicants for the jobs and then have to design a recruitment campaign showing various dates and timelines.

The company we had chosen in our prior project was 'Wrapilisious', which provides innovative and creative packaging solutions of gifts using high quality materials and fabrics and different accessories.

Company Information

Wrapilisious is a home-run start up started by university graduates. It is a one stop solution for everybody's packing and gift wrapping needs. It basically targets Emirati women in the age group of 15 to 24 who want to get their gifts wrapped in a classy and attractive way. The organization is targeting service revenues of AED 48,000 by the end of 2011 and revenues of AED 72,000 by the end of 2012. The target net income by the end of 2011 is AED 14,135 and by the end of 2012 is AED 31,425 with salary expenses of AED 18,000 for both years.

Organization Structure

The organization is a start up and is looking for professionals in the domain of Human Resource Management, General Management, Financial Management, Marketing and Sales Management and some people to provide assistance for carrying the wrapped and unwrapped gifts. The organization plans to expand rapidly in the areas of Bur Dubai and Deira. The organization has great growth plans and plans to capture majority of the market before competitors step in.

Jobs Identification

The organization has plans to recruit people for Human Resource management, General Management, Financial Management, Marketing and Sales Management and support staff for wrapping and designing the gifts. The positions chosen for this project are:-

Finance Manager which has just one offering

Marketing Manager for business development which also has just one opening

These two positions have been chosen for study because the company intends to grow rapidly and for it to make that happen, it needs good candidates who can handle Marketing and Finance of the company, effectively and efficiently, for a long term.

Job Posting for Finance manager

Recruitment Strategy

For recruitment for the post of a finance manager, we plan to conduct a 2 stage process. Since the finance manager would be a person who would be responsible for assisting the company in all the financial operations which may include raising debt to developing a financially sustainable model for the company, we need a person who has the experience and the abilities to plan the financial operations of the company from scratch. Since we plan to recruit just one person at the moment, we need someone who can lay a solid financial foundation for the company.

Our strategy behind recruitment would be to get as many candidates by advertising through various means and then selection of the best candidate for the post. The calculation of yield ratio for the two stages is as shown below.

Yield Ratio Analysis

The 2 steps involved in selection of candidates are:-

Pre-Screening for right aptitude on the basis of an 'Aptitude and psychometric test'
