Beside achieving organizational current targets and making daily tasks of course there's an important commitment from employee's side this commitment could be mentioned in the contract and if the company didn't mention it in the contract it will be an ethical commitment which is keeping organization's secrets and about customers they should keep and save customer's secrets as well.
