Leadership takes up in many forms in an organization and not even at workplace we have leaders around us, at home, in society, the country and the world. A leader is a person who not just inspires others but they are responsible to influence people towards the attainment of set and ad hoc goals. A leader has powers which is given in order to influence and make things happen. They have the power to reward, punish and command.

LEADERSHIP TRAITS

The religious culture also affects the decision making abilities and styles of the leader and the influence can be positive or negative. The characteristic of leaders depend on the background of the leaders. IF there was a previous leader in the family, the new leader has a chance of having some similarities form them which would be the height, weight, the way of dialogue presentation and also to some extend of similar way of commandments.

The workers follow the organizational leaders as they have to lead their workers in the direction of success.

These businesses are under guidance of more than one business leaders. This company provides services for longer hours or has more than one branch where each leader is unique in deploying his leadership ability which depends on the location, economic culture and the social behavior of public around the organization. These business leaders provide authority to other sub leaders to provide facilities and solutions according to their problems.

For a large sized public business, the leader ship style depends on the leader of the business. The leader has the authority to decide how to run the business, is it that he wants to provide freedom to his workers with less supervision to accomplish their task which would make it more laissea fair or democratic leadership style or should the leader be present and provide supervision to what work is being done and how it is to be completed which would be more of a autocratic leadership style.

However the leaders trend to leave the work in others supervision ( lower level manager ) who produce the end results of the business.

Followership

The followerships for this organization are on each other leader. A leader form one group followers other and in cases consult each other. The members of the organization receive leadership and are consulted to archive the required task in the given time.

Power

The power's for his business always depends on the group leader as he is given the authority to make decisions about the business changes form the organizational leaders. The rules and regulation are set same for the workers at their level and the authority of powers are also allocated depending on their level.

Communication

The communication channels in this organization are more of a horizontal as the workers are advised to report to their heads who take action to solve their problems. Who if fail to provide solution then is taken further to another level of leaders. This is usually solved and only the report of the event is sent to the organizational leaders.

Situation

In this business, leaders may be able to use the previous solutions to solve the upcoming problems as there are normally same problems that reoccur in different economic environment. This solution normally has been used previously in one of their events in on another branch of the business which makes the final decisions similar and easier.

Small Private Business vs. Large Sized Public Business

The business structure for both of this business are different as in a small private business, the decisions, solution for problems, and the changes are made by a single person who is the leader of the business and in most business the leader is also the owner. The profit margin, goals and effect of economic changes are less in this organization.

For a Large sized public business the decision, solution and changes are discussed with other leaders or followers before they are actually taken in to action. The changes in the economic structure affect this business in a variety of matter as they are intact to a variety of product which attracts nationwide consumers.

Personal View

I think that the leadership concept takes in place depending on the situation the leader are involved in. I believe that all the leaders are made, they have became successful and known by others only because they have worked towards their goal not coz they were born as a leader. To become a successful leader we have to achieve the goals we set. I also believe that team work is the key to accomplish the given task and also the way to enhance good leadership skills.

PROFIT BUSINESS

Leaders encourage and push their staff towards making profit or meet their monthly goals. The business and the staff operate in such a way that they are trying to provide maximum customer service to the public by providing retail services, after sale service and sometimes as well as replacement services. These organizations motivate their staff by providing them with bonus and pay rise incentive but the main aim of the organization is to make maximize their returns.

The leadership styles of the nonprofit organization are totally different compared to other organizations as these leaders are more encouraging and provide helping for a nonprofit organization the team members don't receive pay or wages. All the employees are motivated to obtaining a goal which would be beneficial to the public.

There is a major difference between the profit and nonprofit organization. Personal View

For the leadership concept for profit and nonprofit organization, I believe that all the leaders have a common goal to achieve their task which is set by their organization. all the leaders work towards this goals either by providing support to the other or provide services in return for profit.

Social responsibility

This are companies that operate in a ethical way taking in to account that they have to earn profit at the same time also being responsible its natural environment and the people. These organizations provide back a potion form their profit to the community being socially responsible towards the environment.

In business leadership, the leaders have to decide how they could take care of their environment. All business has produced some kind of waste material which in some how or the other harm our natural habitat. Leaders have to make decision how they would be able to provide back a helping hand to the public. Business leaders have to be socially responsible to eliminate crime and natural harm in the by supporting the law group.

Telecom New Zealand have stated in their web site that they have become more socially responsible as they are now working with relevant authorities to ensure there is no internet bullying. They are also participating in recycling activities, power saving, fuel reduction initiatives and waste minimization.

Ethics

Values are what we put importance to in daily lives and can include anything from the real world which means something for us and supply meaning to our life and influences decisions we make every day.

A leader who is using the values based approach will make his followers value what they do at the organization and help them align well their values with the organizations values. For human resource to function well, freedom is also important to help them feel secure and wanted in the organization. Compare with the boss, he gains his power and authority to influence employees because of his position whereas, a successful leader gains his authority from to rule from the followers themselves and they want to willing fully work and contribute and listen to the leader.

The leader values the value of the followers which makes him acceptable; the values of the leader play the important role in terms of the leaders ethically and favorable choices that influences and aligns the follower's values in a positive way. As the leader, it is his responsible to align the values of the followers with the organization which are not negative or will affect the organization.

Leaders who are ethical are people-oriented, and also aware of how their decisions impact others, and use their social power to serve the greater good instead of self-serving interests. In ethical leadership it is important for the leader to consider how his or her decisions impact others. Motivating followers to put the needs or interests of the group ahead of their own is another quality of ethical leaders.

The best leaders make known their values and their ethics and preach them in their leadership style and actions. It consists of communicating complete and accurate information, where there is a personal, professional, ethical, or legal obligation to do so.

The business leader is responsible to make payments to this stake holder to overcome the owing money and provide.

Directors

These are the people who actually own the business or provide funding to commerce the business the business. They provide funds at the early state of the business and are concerned with the returns of their money in a form of profit.

The business leaders are responsible to produce positive outcome of their investment in form of profit. The business leaders have to maximize profit and eliminate the cost of production.

Employees

These are the workers who are involved in the business and also the asset which generate the profit for the business. They are involved in the business to get profit and when the business gets more profit they get more returns.

The business leaders are responsible to provide an appropriate income to their workers with best resources to produce desirable outcome.

Government

The business is responsible for following all the rules and regulation of the government and making sure that they abide with the rule provided to them and also pay the correct amount of taxation to the government officials.

Suppliers

These are the people who provide raw materials to the business and in return expert there to be produced in finished goods.

The society will have a leader who can lead them to a brighter future. A leader can bring positive changes to the environment to suit the society like having a park.
