Because of the company use JIT process to remove defective robots, so any defective robots are eliminated and reworked. The total incremental costs of production per robot are $196.1 and average net sales price is $250 so contribution margin per robot is $53.9. Without JIT system, the contribution would have been lost because of reduction of cycle time.
