Romans Abraham God

Inductive Bible Study- Romans 4

This specific chapter in Romans helps my understanding of how God's salvation is obtained by each human being that wants to live with Him. Since the Old Testament each person that wants Gods love seems to use materials to show God that there is love and needed forgiveness. Abraham was one of the first to use sacrifices for God in order for his thanks and trust in Him have credit. Abraham used sheep, lamb, dove and grain for offering to show his atonement with God. The last sacrifice he tried to give was his son Isaac but God stopped him from continuing his sacrifice. This is what Paul's letters are trying to reach to us that we can sacrifice and give anything we have to God. If the inside and spirit is for Christ then we will not have salvation, peace, love and atonement. In the Harper Study Bible states “Now to on who works, his wages are not reckoned as a gift but as his due. And to one who does not work trusts him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness.” My point of view is that faith in God that He exists but I still sin, so I believe in God so I'm righteous. Living under the grace of the spirit is different from living under the law. For example; lying to make myself look good in front of my peers, then looking in the Bible and it clearly states that though shall not lie. Therefore living under the grace of the Holy Spirit is that I don't lie because that is not in my nature of the spirit of true faith. By this choice, you have the grace of God in you, living under the law because they have too, not because they want to. It is easy to live by the law but adulterers who have not cheated but have lust in their heart has already committed adultery. People who have hate in their heart deep down has already committed murder. These are all consequences if we do not choose to live by Grace and Faith.

My next point brings me to the contrast of being circumcised and uncircumcised and still having God's grace. Abraham's purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised and righteousness reckoned to him. Paul uses David's blessing that clarifies that blessed be to whom is circumcised and uncircumcised. They received the circumcision as a seal/sign of the righteousness that they had faith while they were uncircumcised. Therefore, we are all under Gods mercy and our faith is almost a circumcision of our following of God. The circumcision was an exchange of blood to God. Abraham prior name before was Abram, many knew God as the God of Abraham, therefore the “h” added in Abrams name was in direct correlation to “h” the prominent character in Hebrew sound to name God. Abraham's descendents would inherit the world, not through the law but through righteousness of faith. This means Abraham is the father of all nations with this connection to God. Therefore, the circumcision was a spiritual rather than a physical for the uncircumcised for the Hebrews it was of the heart and spirit.

The Church of this modern age and the of the Early world hasn't changed with some believers giving tithes, offerings, regular church attendances consider they have eternal salvation. These things are only works of faith, now to complete God's blessing is for deep down you believe in Him and embrace His spirit. Abraham never weakened in faith he was good as dead Abraham work was to be faithful and trust in Him, that is Abrahams due. Your faith will save your soul and better your life. Father of all nations is Abraham, we have faith in the works of God. No works will get you in heaven, only faith will get us to heaven and God will use us to expand His Kingdom. In the spiritual world, how work is paid for a citizenship into heaven is faith in Christ only. In the book of James it states if have faith but no works, we are dead. Works can not fix us from the inside, it can not clean us. To use them together it is very powerful and the direct blessing from God.

In closing of this chapter, it states here in the Harper Study Bible states in the last verse it “will be reckoned to us who believe in him that raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was put to death for our trespasses then raised for our justification.” This word justification means totally wiped away, through Jesus Christ being put to death, He paid in full for all sins. The lamb of God, directly from how Abraham tried to sacrifice for his atonement, this is how God made His ultimate sacrifice with Christ. That is why the Holy Bible in many ways can back up itself and the beautiful aspect of our Lord and Savior.
