English Language

English Language

English has become the language of communication across the world. It is used extensively as an official language in Commonwealth countries and many international organizations. Because English is so widely spoken, the other languages have lost their importance. In brief to say, English is over powdered the aroma of various other languages. In recent few years English has made its position very strong as world language. However, all this is going on the cost of some other languages spoken in the world. Due to the increasing acceptability of the English language, there are chances that many languages will lose their strength or may be eradicated completely.

The strength of all languages is its people, literature and acceptability. Due to the rule of English across the world, it has made many languages to loose its aroma in his own country. For example: India is a country widely spread across with various language speaking states and cities. Many Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu and etc have lost their aroma as the younger generation and professionals prefer learning English than their native languages. The reason behind this interest is the wide acceptance of English in many fields and professions. To say an example: In India, the interviews are conducted majority in English in MNCs and other big sectors. This forces the people across world to give more importance to English language rather than to their own regional languages. So, now English is not a language of few countries but penetrated its establishment in many other countries like India.

The importance of regional languages should increase in the near future. Today's world has considered India has a place for new IT innovations and known for its larger development with MNCs. Though, all these are happening through English language. So, this is making the regional languages to loose its strength and development. This trend has to be changed to save the knowledge of the regional languages to the younger and upcoming society. The regional languages have to be revitalized and the aroma of the same to be spread across the younger communities. To change such situations, our thoughts and growth paths are to be in our own native language. The operating models, communication, business relationships, etc are to be based in regional languages.

Revitalizing the regional languages

This way of revitalizing the regional languages would help us to focus on the growth of it more than English language. English is being globalized in the realms of business, government, entertainment, and education. Hence, in the similar way, we need to work on our native languages in filed of communication, newspapers, education, job, business, etc. So, we must promote the successful programs through our regional language.

To say an instance, when India became independent, English was considered as the sole language, however many people found it difficult to be on the terms with the language.
In conclusion, we can extract from the above stated examples that the rise of English language alone is an obstacle for the progress of many other languages. As examined already in the above paragraphs, an adequate growth of other regional languages should be encouraged in near future by our own regions. The other regions should improve their own language skills to remain competitive. This should allow all society and their language to gain its significance.
