World War 2
The World War 2 is said to have started in 1939 and ended in 1945. It is considered to be the most expensive war of the twentieth century amounting to the expenses of at least a trillion dollars. The participation was also immense in which about 100 million military personnel contributed their participation in the war. It was the most dreadful war that killed about 70 million people. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, United States of America declared war on first Japan and then three days later on Germany.
