The Spanish American War started essentially in the summer of the month of April in the year1898. It was a fierce war that occurred between the two coutries, Spain and the United States of America. The war proceedings halted in the month of August of the same year in 1898. The end of the war and the start of the ensuing peace process were heralded by the signing of the Treaty of Paris. This treaty was also signed in the same year in the month of December.
