The Mexican War
The Mexican war was between the United States and Mexico. When the United States settled in Texas it's where the war started between these two countries. It all began when American troops were attacked among the border of Texas in 1846. It was a very stupid act by Mexico because they were very unstable at the time. Many historians think that the United States purposely placed the troops at Rio Grande to create a war; however, there have been arguments that many Mexicans did not pay for their claims. The war itself was an extremely costly loss for both sides. The Americans suffered 13,780 deaths and thousands more were wounded beyond recovery; Also a lot were dead by diseases. The cost in the treasure was estimated at about hundred million dollars.
The Mexican war was taken place in Texas, New Mexico, and California. It's near the Rio Grande River where the war started. The Mexican was started when Mexican attacked on American petrol, some were killed and some were injured that way American found that war has been started between Mexico and America. American soldiers pushed back the Mexican soldiers across the Rio grade river. So the battle was on the Mexican soil.
American wanted to take over the South part of the America California, New Mexico, and Texas. American believed that Mexico wanted to win that war and purpose of spreading the slavery in America. When the war begin the president Polk made three goals - “defend the boundary of Texas claimed by the United States, which was the Rio Grande River, Seize New Mexico and California; and have military success in Mexico to force it to make peace on term favoring the United States”.
The Mexican war was huge impact on both nations. Both countries defended there selves to get the land also problem with democratic. The United States wanted to join with southern part as become peaceful country. U.S decided weather those place would still be use for slaves or free.
Mexican war was taken in 1846-1848. The battle was fought by almost volunteers. The United States congress decided to war on the Mexico. After the six months of fighting Mexican and American, American won the war in the 1848 and they declared the Republic of Texas. America made Texas independence republican. American Government made Texas as a state.
