Western Culture Farmers

Western culture is generally classified into three frontiers the miners, the cowboys, and the farmers. Mining is one of the oldest occupation in the west and US itself employees more than half a million workers. But the problems that are faced by this community are innumerable such as health problems, low safety standards and low wages. Recognition and status in the society are provided to this group of people. With the regulation of federal body Mine Safety and Health Act or MSHA the health standards in mines were improved. Cowboys are generally animal herders who grow cattle and sheep as living. They are historic in North America culture, but they faced a lot of problems such as low earnings and cultural differences in the society. They are backward in education, so the younger generations also used to learn there source of living.

Farmers are not so prominent in the history of west, but there lived a large community of small scale farmers. Due to boom in technology the farming has turned into a nullified business or profession. Governments also neglected to provide subsidies for the farmers, which made them exhaust from there profession. In 1930 United States has 26% farmers in the country, but in 1980 after fifty years now it has only 5% as farmers. - Farming in United States, 2001.

Growth in business after the Civil War

After the Civil War in United States, the government started to liberalize the economy. Factors such as Liberation and Globalization affected for the business growth in United States after Civil War, being one of the largest suppliers and producers of natural resources and other raw materials like iron, coal and tin.

With the technology outbreak in other countries like Britain and Germany, the United States planned to develop its own image in the field. The advantage the western countries have is efficient and a large manpower. Inventions and Discoveries were taken place at a tremendous rate. Civil War affect has made America rich in capital resources though which it started investing the capital in machineries and technology.
