Teenagers make best parents
Teenagers as parents, the idea makes many people cringe. Stereotypes are still alive in the world today, and this is a proof of that, while it is certainly true that some teenagers will not make good parents, the same is true of adults. Not every adult will make a good parent either. Getting married at a very young age is often believed beneficial for the couple as well as their children, as teenage parents will have a good understanding with their children, are more active, and are more updated with new trends.
Firstly, teenagers make best parents as they will have a good understanding with their children, because many times age differences creates clash between the ideologies of parents and their children’s. But if the parents are young they are more aware of the problems of the kids, and they analyze those problems more carefully, compared to parents who are in their 40’s, as teenage parents would have recently passed through the same age as their kid, and this advantage will help in avoiding disputes between the kids and their parents. For instance, teenage parents would be more open minded with their children going out for late night movie shows, whereas parents who are in their 40’s might think late night shows are not meant for children’s and wouldn’t allow them to go.
Secondly, teenagers make best parents as they are more active, involved and concerned with the activities related to their children. Teenage parents are more interested in their kid’s actions, as they would like to be part of their kid’s life and become more of their friends instead of being their parents, whereas parents in their 40’s would share a serious and strict relationship with their children’s. For instance, parents in their 40’s would be more job oriented people and would return home tired from their jobs, which may not allow them to spend more time with their kids, whereas teenage parents will be more family oriented people and will be more active in taking good care of their child.
Lastly, teenagers make best parents as they are more updated with new trends, as they would have just got over with their college life, and would be living a more informal kind of lifestyle, compared to those parents who are in their 40’s, who may be having more scheduled lifestyle and wouldn’t have time for taking their kids for swimming or cycling etc, which on other hand teenage parents may enjoy doing. For instance when a child is born, he/she would expect a friend into their parents, who are easy to talk with on various issues, where as parents in their 40’s may not be so trendy and updated with new things coming up, which may be a drawback for the child.
In conclusion, the misconception of teenagers making bad parents should be cleared from the minds of people as it is quiet obvious that when a person gets responsibilities they try their best to manage it well and specially in the case of teenage parents, they would like to give the best of love and care to their children as they will understand children well, will be more active and more updated with new trends in a way that will help their children’s to go in the right direction and would guide them better than the other typical adult parents.
