Cleopatra (51 B.C.)
It was more than 1000 years after Twosert, during the Ptolemaic period, that Cleopatra reigned as a Pharaoh. Unlike all other queens, she was not a true Egyptian. She ruled at the age of 17, and captivated Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony. She famously committed suicide in 30 B.C. Not only Cleopatra was the last pharaoh, but also she was the end of more than 3000 years of dynastic rule.
All these queen pharaohs were of royal blood and were at one time queen consort to their husbands. Most of them did not produce heirs, therefore; when the pharaoh died they rose to the throne.
