Interview:

A good piece of writing is concise, clear, with correct grammar and spelling. It should contain an introduction, body with clearly defined paragraphs and a conclusion, all enunciating the author's point to the reader's satisfaction. The language need not be too floury or elaborate and it should not excessively quote well-known thinkers and experts but rather use them as props and examples for the author's own arguments. If the piece of writing is academic it should fully answer the question and be to the point, not circumvent or avoid the issue. All sources should be clearly referenced in the bibliography if one is needed, and the punctuation and format specified in the brief should be scrupulously used. An excellent piece of writing needs to have all these things and something more such as a creative approach to the subject matter or some new, unknown opinions support by valid arguments. It is the pleasure I taken in bringing out this creative approach in any topic I am given that makes me a good writer.
